Students were required to create a poster presentation of their dream vacation.
Consumer Math - Students have to plan their dream vacation based on an inheritance they received.
Criteria:
- Maximum dimension 8 1/2 by 11 (can be multiple pages
- Must be school appropriate
- It has to be a real place
- Expectation about the vacation should be real
Well as you can all clearly see i have alot to learn about photography! I think i took about 18 photo's, some were just off being in focus ( madding so in fact ) but my friend has told me that Nixon Coolpix 5000 are not the best at focusing in low light, i have no idea of course if this is true or not! But i decided to take these in very low light, using one desk lamp with a 20 watt max output with no flash - as im all for throwing yourself in the deep end because you will always learn to swim in the end if you see what i mean! I'd go with the most likely reason for my focusing errors on some of the photo's being my complete lack of knowledge in the area of photography, but if anyone can shed some light on this i'd be very grateful! There were more in focus photo's than these ones, but these were the ones i prefered as virgin state photo's and im sort of in the process of photoshop/gimp warping some of the other one's . Well as im a complete baby in the world of photography any advise would be very gratefully recieved!

There was a great turn out of education stakeholders from accross industry & education at our Learning Edge Conference. Attendees heard a range of interesting presentations and panels.
This conference was part of the HR Leadership Group Programme 2015 which is kindly sponsored by Aviva Health.
The best cure from urban life is to go to a place where such things as regular supply of electricity, water, and telecommunications are not something you can count on. When a storm is coming, to preserve the appliances, electricity is cut in this village. Then the water pump stops working...and the telephone... and the internet connection.... So this long introduction to say a small thank you to sacrosanct electricity, Tesla, nature and all those inventors who did not receive the Nobel prize and are making our lives more comfortable...

The University Community attended an open house to celebrate the new Learning Commons located on the first floor of the Robert L. Carothers Library and Learning Commons. The open house was to introduce students, faculty and staff to the new area that boasts a full suite of resources.
