www.squidoo.com/leapster2-multimedia-learning-system. Dora the Explorer has always been a hit in my family with the Leapster Leapfrog
Today is Zach's birthday! He's reached the ripe old age of 4. He had a pretty rocking birthday, I think -- he got lots of Mario loot, a couple of Leapster games, and (drum roll) his very first bike! Plus this awesome cake. We haven't eaten it yet because we have to eat dinner first. Yes, I uphold these rules even on birthdays. It's the only way I can hang onto any shred of sanity.
I had to take my kids along with me to work this evening. I was nervous as it was past their bedtime, snowy and did I mention past their bedtime?
I forget sometimes that my children are, at their core, pretty good kids. Not only were they well behaved, but they had a blast watching the game, playing their Leapsters, talking to people, and, at the paper, eating a snack while watching Blue's Clues that a coworker put on for them.
I'm so proud of my kids.
Opening birthday presents. She got a lot of cool stuff including a Radio Flyer wagon, a Leapster Leaptop, and a VTech digital camera. The camera is made for kids as it's practically indestructible. The quality of the photos is not great, but it's still fun to look a things from Julie's perspective.
When technology-based products are soaring, Leapfrog toys are flying high. These technological learning items are mainly made to provide kids with happiness while educating them in different extra-curricular activities. Established by Michael Wood and Robert Lally in 1994, the brand is now a subsidiary VTech. Itsproducts are mainly concentrated on three categories: reading solutions, educational gaming, and grade school items along with learning trinkets. Their mentionable pieces are LeapFrog Epic, LeapTV, LeapBand, LeapReader, LeapStart, Leapfrog Tablets, LeapTop, Leapster, Tag Reading System, and more. What a wide range of products! There are no hindrances of choosing stuff that is close to the heart of your young ones.

Happy 3rd birthday to my Declan. I was busy proofing in the office, and turned around to see him reclined on the floor with his new Leapster. Loving the crossed leg too!
This find was from a church rummage sale. I ended up immediately finding the Leapster games and started looking for any other games that may have been there. In the books. I saw the "Only For" tag stick out and grabbed it! All together I got:
Mario Kart Double Dash (GC)
Ratatouille (Leapster)
Globe Earth Adventures (Leapster Explorer)
Penguins of Madagascar (Leapster Explorer)
I went to pay and the lady looked at them and said "Is $2 ok?" I said yes and left :)

It's Mario Time!
Ella has been obsessed with Mario lately! I am sooooo down with that! Just a few days ago we (I with cheering from Ella and help from an online tip site) beat Mario Wii. We also downloaded Mario 2, Mario 3, and Mario the lost levels. Everyday when I come home from school Ella will say "daddy you ready for some Mario?" Of course I answer with "let's do this!" As you can see by this picture our family loves technology and games! We are rockin some Mario Cart while Charlie rocks some Leapster. Picture taken with camera propped on a Thomas train on the floor in front of the tv.
My 3 year old granddaughter Virginia is a Dora the Explorer fanatic and her Leapster game was a big hit on Christmas morning.

Sophia loves to play games on the leapster not realizing that they are educational and give her good therapy for her fine motor skills.
www.squidoo.com/leapster2-multimedia-learning-system. I guess this is what the game looks like outside of the box. It does give a little more information about its compatibility. My niece has one of the original Leapfrog systems. Dora is one of her favorite characters. Does anyone have any experience with this particular Dora game?
This is the first shot I took with my Olympus 45/1.8, borrowing my an EP-2 body bound for my dad. It's a fantastic portrait lens.

www.squidoo.com/leapster2-multimedia-learning-system. Okay, this makes sense, but they didn't have these luxuries when I was a kid :(. I'm happy to see this charger since the Leapster2 uses a lot of batteries. At least this way they can at least save on batteries.
Caden was playing the Leapster, and he was celebrating about something. I think he initially said "Booyah!", followed by "Yes!" We get "booyah" around here a lot!
Twelve : Jump
Sometimes a picture is about what you can't see. While Ella and I were messing around doing some pictures of her jumping off the table (yes I know that is bad parenting) Katie is in the right corner looking for the remote like crazy and saying something about us losing it every single day. Too the left you can just see a bit of Charlie. He is playing with Ella's leapster and trying to show her what he is doing. The saying on the wall says "The secret of having it all....knowing that you already do". Just a single snap of our daily life. We love it!
