Nice butterfly! Jazzy Leafwing (Hypna clytemnestra) is uncommon but widespread from Mexico to Amazonia.
The brilliant red-orange upperside of the species is a striking contrast to the drab brownish-gray underside.
Numerous butterflies were gathered in a small area to feed from some scattered, dry scat on the road.
Photographed at the Lexington Wildlife Management Area, Oklahoma, on 27 May 2020.
