Or maybe this is 1 Tropical Leafwing and 1 Pale-spotted Leafwing?

At night they are roosting in these and other trees. On this bean there are cracks, which must have something sweet inside, to attract the bee as well as the Leafwings.

Window Trail, Chisos Basin, Big Bend National Park, Brewster Co. Tx.

I saw far more butterflies than I bothered taking photos of. This little guy posed for me against the water-dappled sand and I couldn't resist. I think this might be a Tropical Leafwing (Anaea aidea). I also saw many Monarch butterflies during the week, all on the wing and heading west, often struggling mightily against the wind. Since it was early October, I assumed they were heading towards Mexico for the winter.

.Kallima paralekta, commonly known as the Indian Leafwing or the Malayan Leafwing, is a species of brush-footed butterfly of the genus Kallima. Despite its common names, it is not found in India or Malaysia, but is endemic to Java and Sumatra of Indonesia. Like other members of its genus, it is remarkable for its strong resemblance to a dead leaf when its wings are folded. It was one of the species encountered by the British naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace in his travels in maritime Southeast Asia. It is mentioned in his famous 19th-century work The Malay Archipelago as one of the best examples of protective camouflage achieved through natural selection.
