Taken October 6, 2016, this is a colorful view from the North Beach of northern Vermont's Lake Willoughby. Across the water is Westmore, Vermont. Behind are dairy cows grazing in a meadow, Goodwin Mountain on the left, and Haystack Mountain on the right.

This north-south running ridge is due west of North Conway, sandwiched between Route 112 (the famed Kancamagus Highway) to the south, and U.S. Route 302 (and the Attitash Mountain Resort) to the north. Taken from a rest stop on Route 16 in Intervale, just outside of North Conway.

A beautiful autumn day in the picturesque town, with Stowe Community Church rising above the fall foliage.
HBW Hangover!! Seems like all of our leaves have fallen off the trees... now they are so bare. Fall sure didn't last long :(

This image was captured a few seasons ago while on a spur-of-the-moment diversion on the Blue Ridge Parkway through Virginia. We were on a bigger cross-country road trip, heading back to Texas from Connecticut, smack dab in the middle of peak fall foliage for Appalachia. It would've been silly to pass up the chance to experience this unplanned syncing up of events. So, we cut left off the busy interstate and ventured over to the Blue Ridge Parkway for the afternoon. With overcast skies and a chilly breeze, we walked a few trails, admired the many scenic overlook views, wandered into a small mountain town for lunch, and drove through one tree tunnel after the next painted with shades of reds, oranges, and yellows. It was the perfect mix of spooky and enchanted. By late afternoon, much to my delight, the clouds broke up and golden sunlight glazed across the landscape, highlighting all the vivid color of autumn’s fingerprints on the sea of rolling ridges. Every direction I looked there was another beautiful composition to be captured, but this image ended up being one of my favorites from that charming day in the mountains. Still to this day, I am so thankful to have made the spontaneous decision to take advantage of the opportunity for an experience like this one.

This shows off the work done by the arborists showcasing the beauty of the Japanese Maple's structure.
The aspens in the mountains of Northern Utah are starting to turn gold. This really is the best time of year for mountain biking. The cool air, fall colors and tacky black dirt are what mountain bike dreams are made of.
Story behind the pic - while climbing down the boulders to reach the river bed for this shot, I slipped and fell forward down the rocks! I bruised my knee, hip, elbow and shoulder. I was holding my tripod in my hand with the camera mounted to it and the camera landed glass against the rock. Fortunately I had a neutral density filter on it for the shot. Miraculously no glass broke or scratched not even the filter! So the rock you see in the foreground I’ve had a very close look at!
HNFF!! Since I'm loving fall this week and my friend Jeremy posted his shot www.flickr.com/photos/craptasticphotog/3039124606/ that I loved so much! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery :) Thanks Jerm!
