Also, hidden within the book, was a leaflet for tents and camping equipment from The Lightweight Tent Supply Company, 61 High Holborn, London, W.C. 1. This has no specific date on it, but I suspect is roughly contemporary to the book - it contains endorsements of it's products from an article in "Land & Water", 7th Sept 1916, and in reference to their Motor Tent, say, "As supplied to Officers of the 1st and 2nd Life Guards for Active Service at the Front." I can, unfortunately, find no reference to this company on the net, but here is a picture of the area a little earlier, in 1890.

I must have given leaftlets to at least a hundred people. It was daunting at first but got fun as they day went on.
I think everyone should have to spend a day handing out leaflets in a big city. It teaches you a lot about humanity and the different types of people there are in the world, and how you can TELL someone's going to be a twat (or very nice) just by their eyes.
