Cobham Chatterbus leaflet, picked up from the ticket hall at Cobham & Stoke D'Abernon station (and photographed on its platform 1!).
Note this timetable is Cobham - Cobham Station only (including the 408), not the full Chatterbus C1/C2 timetable.

Something differant :)

I regularly receive leaflets advertising psychic services... and they all seem to feature a 'distinctive' typographic style...

Sophia Magdalena Scholl (9 May 1921 – 22 February 1943) was active within the White Rose non-violent resistance group in Nazi Germany. She was convicted of high treason after having been found distributing anti-war leaflets at the University of Munich with her brother Hans. As a result, they were both executed by guillotine.

HAMBLEDON HILL HOUSE Hambledon Hill Road, Maison Dieu, near Singleton, NSW, Australia.
Completed in 1865, Hambledon Hill House holds considerable local significance as records show the property as a free grant made to Edward, Henry and William Nowland (brothers) in 1824. Surrounding gardens are also of historical significance as several of the trees are believed to be over 130 years old. Hambledon Hill House is a two storey residence built of sandstock brick on stone foundations, with a hipped slate roof, a deep stone paved verandah, small paned windows, louver shutters and French doors opening on to the cast iron balustraded balcony which is typical of the transition period from late Georgian to the Victorian era. The house was once described as “very large to all appearance on entering, yet most conveniently and well arranged despite its twenty nine rooms”.
This leaflet advertising the Festival of Britain, 1951, has been selected as Object of the Week by volunteer David Freestone. It comes from a collection of pamphlets and brochures relating to art, design and fashion which David has just catalogued (reference BR).
The Summer 1959 timetable leaflet issued by the Maidstone & District Motor Services Ltd. for their express services from London Victoria Coach Station to the coast and Hastings, Bexhill or Rye. These must have been useful earners for the company whose operating territory was in mid- and west Kent and stretching south down to the East Sussex coastal resorts. They had cemented their position in Sussex with the purchase, in 1935, of the Hastings Tramways Company whose trams had replaced with trolleybuses. These services had just been finally abandoned and replaced with buses a month before this timetable came into use.
The leaflet shows times and a variety of fares; singles, day returns and period returns. As it notes, a day return ticket gives you "nearly seven hours" in Rye and, importantly for drumming up travel in the opposite direction, in London.
The leaflet for the Agatha Christie house tours, well worth a visit. We thought about the ferry, but the sea was a bit rough and the boss didn't fancy it.
One of a series of leaflet issued by SNCF - Société Nationale des Chemins de fer Français - French Railways for the 1958 season and using artwork, in this case, by "Nathan". This was Jacques Nathan-Garamond (1910 - 2001). Trained as an architect he became a graphic designer in post-war years and was noted for his use of colour and geometric shapes.
This leaflet is for Corse/Corsica and shows Bonifacio.
