Another leaf underside that was captured using my iPhone 11 camera.

Smartphone cameras have come a long way and are only going to get better. Traditional camera companies have seen huge drops in their sales because of it, sadly.

I still love my legacy cameras (Nikons) and use them often, but I find myself using my iPhone more and more for serious photography.

Truth be told, with today's editing software, the outcome quality of any image, whether coming from a smartphone or a traditional camera, is much dependent on the skill and technique of its editing.

Enjoy, and happy shooting everyone!

Short stroll around the neighbourhood looking for an autumn shot or two. Liked the look of this one.

Another leaf from the same session. Heucheras are among my favourite plants - they have such a variety of leaves and are so easy to maintain in the garden. I would thoroughly recommend them for borders. I think this one is called Marmalade !

from nisargadatta maharaj: “wisdom tells me i am nothing. love tells me i am everything. between the two my life flows.”

'Deconstructed Ficus Leaf' was created from a few strips of a macro photograph of a ficus leaf. At this time my native country is facing an unprecedented wave of Corona Virus. There is a shortage of wood for funerals in many cities, and gravediggers are working overtime. The strips in this image represent the logs of wood used in traditional funerals. The light in the middle represent the souls of those who have died at this time. The arrangement of the strips of the leaf represents the chaos surrounding cremations and burials. The whole image is a tribute to a beloved uncle who did not make it, and whom I did manage to see in the beginning of the pandemic. We had lunch together, and a conversation in which all the dots did not add up. My uncle insisted in hobbling all the way to the elevator to say goodbye. I knew I would never see him again.

Forest Tent Caterpillar Moth, Malacosoma disstria, one above and one below the leaf. Reminded me of that engaging but creepy US TV series about another world connected to ours, but somehow upside down.

I just so enjoy trying to capture leaves, feathers and their reflections. A little wind blew making the water swirl.
