The Matches are a pop-punk band signed with Epitaph Records. They formed in 1997 in Oakland, California.
A sentence from the chorus of the beautiful ballad 'Lazerus', written by Steven Wilson, leadsinger of the band Porcupine Tree. I think this image fits the song quite well.

This is a Japanese coffee pot, quite similar to traditional tea pots. The ptotery style is known as "Banko-Yaki". The interior is not glazed and has an uneven surface, so as to allow absorption of the bitterness, for a more mellow taste.
You just put ground coffee into the pot and pour hot water on it. A stainless steel filter prevents the grounds from getting into your coffee.

Tarcy recently passed away. When I was shooting a lot of musicians in Dallas he and his band were often hiring me to come take photos. He had such a drive and wonderful demeanor. I wanted to go back and do a modern process on this portrait I took of him in 2009.

The Groningen hip-hop formation Dope D.O.D. is world famous in the scene of hardcore rap and hip hop but many Groningers have never heard of them, nor their leadsinger Jay. Artist Michel Velt decided to honor this Groningen hero by painting an enormous portrait of him in the passage between the Boterdiep street and Hotel Simplon.
