Liquid emulsion prints on lead relief plates, hand built redwood boxes with lids, charcoal dust. Largest is aprox 2.5 x 3.5". The gallery got too hot, the emulsion cracked and peeled, no temperature control? Really?!?!
Two lead bag seals. The E.K. stands for EARLES & KING, linseed oil millers in Liverpool in the 1890's. The other is a little obscure, but reads 1RES over DON. with a legend around the edge comprising of SU----- etc; the reverse carries the date 1864 over OCTOB(ER). This according to Bagseals.org is a seal associated with the French wine trade! The full legend should read SUPERIEURES in arc over 1RES over DON. within a beaded border. Found in the Lune Valley, Cumbria.
