Since the new Route 1 timetable came into operation in Rugby, I have seen nothing but Dennis Darts working the route. Today, being a quiet and sunny day, I decided to photograph a few around Newbold, and later elsewhere on the route. You can only imagine my disappointment, and disgust, when an Enviro 300 turned up for my first shot!! This is Stagecoach 22841 (KX09 BHK) turning into Lea Crescent, Newbold. There are 2 buses operating the service at any one time, which meant I`d be seeing more of this pesky vehicle!

I've never seen, or even heard of a Lea-Francis before, but I discovered that they began making autos in 1896 in Coventry, England. This model was likely made between 1949 and 1953. They began making cars for export early on, but this car has right-hand drive, so I'm guessing that it was purchased in the U.K and shipped here directly. ...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lea-Francis
The church is away from the current village of Lea Marston, near the old Hams Hall, though that is long since demolished. The church dates from the13-15th centuries, but was extensively remodelled in the 1860s.
