Hi everyone,
Sorry I haven't been around much. Our summers are so short that I need to spend as much time as I can just enjoying being outside! I will be back!
Have a great weekend! Take care!
A quick escape on Lazy Sunday proved rewarding when the skies above me in North Bend, Wa opened up nearing sunset. Not that we had a real destination, my friend and I ended up along this trail and I noticed this comp with a pasture puddle. With fresh snow and storm clouds abound, Mt Si catches some rays and a reflection.

Sittin' in the morning sun
I'll be sittin' when the evening comes
Watching the ships roll in
Then I watch them roll away again, yeah
I'm sittin' on the dock of the bay
Watchin' the tide roll away, ooh
I'm just sittin' on the dock of the bay

I took this a few weeks ago just to remember how foggy it was that day, but the picture is growing on me. The colors are just too pretty!

There is just something about camping over an open fire in the great outdoors. I firmly believe everyone should experience it once in their lifetime, wither it be an elaborate meal, hotdogs on a stick or simply roasting marshmallows. The crackling of the fire and the sounds of the forest around the worries of work and the real world left at home. Its all very relaxing, especially after a long day of hiking.
On this particular evening my wife and I made stuff biscuit foil dinners. Peppers and onions with chicken apple sausages washed down with a Fremont Summer Solstice Ale the perfect summer beer.
Looking forward to a weeks worth of lazy summer evenings next week while on vacation in Oregon. Three nights at a beach house, three more camping in the Central Cascades along the Cascade Lakes Highway and then two nights in a downtown Portland Hotel. I look forward to enjoying the best of what Oregon has to offer and of course capturing it all on film.
Lazy is how I'm feeling after this 3 day weekend and off to work again today. Honu is the Hawaiian word for turtle for those of you not in Hawaii. The sky was blue and there was nice light on the turtle and sand from the sun but I just wasn't feeling it and wanted to switch it up. This is an up close 5 shot panorama with minimal blending of 2 exposures. Used 2 different B&W filters (High contrast Blue and High Contrast Red) blended in specific areas to highlight whites or blacks of the image.
