Crazy Tuesday
"Knolling" - THEME of 6th April 2021
Composition, Try to use as much pasta as I could, I made it using stone plates, in 3 of them are the colors of the flag of Italy with olive oil and basil, garlic and tomatoes; farfalle paste makes up the second flag, and the hearts of Italy the third; the fourth dish I decided to make the flower since Italy is a romantic country and loves pasta as much as a good pizza, and good food and wine, are very demanding with quality. I made the flower with TORTELLINI and egg using only the yolk, the pasta is made with a base of flour, water, salt egg and olive oil, the three components are part of the cologe
Here are the kinds of pasta i use:
SPAGHETTI
STELLINE
BUCATINI
RAVIOLI
TORTELLINI
TAGLIATELLE
RIGATONI
FUSILLI
FARFALLE
CUORE DI PASTA
POMODORI
AGLIO
OLIO DI OLIVA EXTRA VIRGEN
BASILICO
UOVO
FARINA
I'm working on a series of plants we have in our garden. These do not flower but are the most beautiful ornamental leaves I think I've ever seen. These are called Persian Shield.

……An ‘also-ran’ for ‘Macro Monday’ back in June last year. Given a little extra using NIK & Lightroom for Sliders Sunday. Hope the W/End is going well, stay locked down and cosy to stay safe and to keep EVERYONE else safe too! A VERY BIG THANK YOU to ALL the key workers who are carrying on to benefit the rest of us - we applaud you all. Alan;-)👏👏👏👏👏

Created for Macro Mondays theme: Slices of food. HMM everyone!
And for The Flickr Lounge weekly theme (week 8): lay flat photography.
And for Our Daily Challenge: starts with the letter "C" and Food.
And for 121 pictures in 2021 #106 Vegetables that start with letter C
I took an ordinary onion and shallot and placed them in water and this is what happened. :-)
Light painted still life.
‘Lay Flat flower arrangement’. I would never have guessed how many permutations there were to arrange just two items! After much contemplation, a whole load of pictures and even consultation with Jill this was the winning shot. Alan:-)……
366 - I’ve decided to do this to force me to pick up a camera other than when we are away on our travels (they will be posted as normal) - I will be interested to see what transpires, they will be varied I’m sure so we’ll see where inspiration takes me over the course of the year, hopefully at the end of it I will be a better photographer. Feel free to critique as you see fit, but please don’t feel obliged, I anticipate they will not be to all tastes. Have a great year and if you also have embarked on a 365 project then good luck in seeing it through, Alan:-)

I'm working on a series of plants we have in our garden. I was taken by the single bloom on it, and I love the look of a succulent with this plant. This is called Portulaca.

In pomeriggi piovosi cosa c'è di meglio di una buona torta di riso? Fatta come Dio comanda, ricetta originale Artusi. E una tazza di tè, che non guasta.

Per il gruppo "{Seasons 2019} My Diary": en mi plato - settimana 20/52
I've developed a bit of a liking for harsh contrasty light recently!!

I've been meaning to complete this grid of tool still lifes. Some of this collection already appear on my photostream, and others are making their debut here. :-)
All shot as lay flat images with a flash point 360 in a 27" soft box.

This idea popped into my head this afternoon and I figured why argue with an idea.
It was fairly quick to set up and once I was content that the frame was full but not cluttered it only took a couple clicks to get it right.
Hope everyone has had a good day.

No children’s party without some sweets and some toys. And since it’s Easter, sweet Eggs and for clean children, something from Paw Patrol MARSHALL Soap & Scrub. So Happy Macro Monday.
I have to admit, neither knew Pow Patrol nor the Soap & Scrub sets. But it reminds me on the Kinder EGG oder Überschungsei, good marketing strategy directed at small children to hide some cheap plastic toy within food or this time soap.
One of my attempts to Macro Monday’s theme party. I liked the layout, a little bit like knolling, and the free space to the right. At first I wanted to delete the photo, with the partial circle to the right, but after a second look this makes the photo from just photo a small eye catcher.
But it does not meet the size requirements
Actually the sweets are two time Toffifee and 2 x MON CHERI, the underground is a small bamboo shelf turned to side with an opening to take the paper placed inside out.
AAW February 10 - 17: Square Format
WIT: I thought I'd try a layflat still life in a square format. Took the picture, and in post, cropped to square, and got rid of some spots and increased the saturation. Then I ate the blueberries, and used the lemons for my martini.
One of our local camera stores in Mansfield, Ohio (Sid's Camera Shop) did minor repairs in-house. When they closed years ago I was given a small box of thousands of tiny old bits and pieces from dead film cameras – these are a few of them. (Oh, the stories they could tell of the places they went to and of the photos they helped to create!) The image area is about 50mm square. Always be knolling! Lit with a LED desk lamp diffused with a piece of printer paper, and a small white box as a fill reflector – taken in a dedicated photo studio full of lights and modifiers, but sometimes it's just easier to quickly improvise.
I left my photo to later in the day today and didn't get a chance to take advantage of the beautiful sunlight that was coming in through the windows.
I was starting to fret and wonder what I would shoot today when I remembered that my lazy self still hadn't put the flowers I bought today in a vase.
Awesome, good job past me! A simple set up and a tripod later, this still life was captured and my photo of the day was done.
Hope everyone has had a good day.

A series of "lay flat" still life images I shot when flowers were plentiful. I like combining series into panels, in this case a triptych.
each image shot with a single strobe in a 27 inch square soft box.
I thought I'd try a very different, for me, approach to tool photos. First this being more of a "portrait" feel and second, this is also "lay flat" photography. This is part of a series headed for a grid panel layout.
