Not all lavender flowers are open as it's in winter time now.

Taken at Mayfield Lavender.

They have two types of Lavender at Mayfields this is the taller one that comes out a bit latter.

Went with BWC friend Peter and had a Lavender Scone with jam and cream with tea - lovely.

Thank you for all your kind comments and faves.

I need a reminder today that it's supposed to be Flaming June!! Instead we have had days of cold, wet and windy weather. In contrast, this image was taken on a warm summer's evening :)

Taken at Mayfield Lavender on a very busy day just managed a few shots without people in.

I have never seen so many Bees in these fields before it was smothered with them on this visit.

I wonder if the people in the houses on the right can smell Lavender all the time or do they just get used to it.

Always wish I had a wide angle when I do shots like this.

Trerice is an Elizabethan manor, now owned by the National Trust. It has nice gardens, as you can see. This is the knot garden, outlined by 800 yew trees. Situated in Kestle Mill, near Newquay, Cornwall.

We have some herbs in our small garden for cooking. And then we have this lavender wich is just for the smell. Reccomend it if you have the possibility:-)

I will get myself a macro lens in near future so I can get these shots the way they are meant to be:p
