Taken at Mayfield Lavender.
They have two types of Lavender at Mayfields this is the taller one that comes out a bit latter.
Went with BWC friend Peter and had a Lavender Scone with jam and cream with tea - lovely.
I need a reminder today that it's supposed to be Flaming June!! Instead we have had days of cold, wet and windy weather. In contrast, this image was taken on a warm summer's evening :)
Ces flocons d’été, tombant en juin et en juillet
tapissent de violet, les campagnes alignés
entêtent de leur parfum les butineuses affairées
Il n’y a qu'une petite saison pour peut être oublier
que bientôt elles ne pourront que briller
dans le coeur des amoureux égarés.
Mais il se dresse à leur pied
comme si le temps s'était arrété
tourné vers le ciel embrasé
brulant le rouge et l'orangé
dans les odeurs de cette fin de journée
le petit amandier.
La saison de lavande à commencé, il est temps de se remettre dans ses odeurs sublimes.
We have some herbs in our small garden for cooking. And then we have this lavender wich is just for the smell. Reccomend it if you have the possibility:-)
I will get myself a macro lens in near future so I can get these shots the way they are meant to be:p
