I always have a little giggle to myself when I do the washing, and notice that all I have in my wardrobe is black and pink!
Kiwis are notorious for wearing a lot of black, and Im no different...but I really need to get some other colours to wear!

This is an example of a picture that didn't quite turn out as I imagined in my head; and I've been wanting to take this picture for a very long time. There's a lighting store near my apartment, and I drive past it often at night. It's kind of charming, because they leave some of the lights on after the store closes, so there are all these chandeliers in the window. Anyway, once I finally brought my tripod and took the 84 u-turns to get to the store, I discovered that it's not quite as photogenic up close as it seems as you drive past. Either way, I'm considering this shot a victory for forcing inspiration and finally taking the shot I've wanted to for months.
It's also a shot for Scavenger Hunt 101, #14, a locally owned store.
This is one of those things that I think is awesome because it's rusty and textured and so, so interesting, but that my dad is probably not psyched I'm posting pictures of on the internet, seeing as how it's the rusty basketball hoop pole in my parents' driveway. But I was there for burger night and wandering around the backyard looking for photo subjects, and had exhausted my interesting ideas with the film camera, and I kind of hate taking the same shot with film and digital sometimes.

Had figured this to be an easy one but it turned out quite the contrary. Shooting took much time and the laundry room much too small to get the result I had in mind. But hey, uploaded almost 15 minutes before deadline!
