There seemed to be less washer well women this time, despite the huge, overflowing crowds of people actually attending the Faire. You wouldn't notice from this photo how busy it was behind me.
Abandone Benelux -
A small dilapidated house with a sort of pigeon house in the back of the garden. The laundry rack was still outside. There was a fire in the top of the house, so impassable. Downstairs only a living room and and room with a bed. Lots of decay, wallpaper that came loose from the walls and a bed whose mattress almost fell apart.

I decided to go back to the original shoot and browse a bit. It is SO like me to only edit one or two shots and move on (I bore easily), but in going back I always have a new perspective. It was such a pleasant surprise to find a few new favorites and a folder full toothless grins. I'll be sure to post a few more from this session later. For now here is one I really liked. This was one of my first RAW sessions back in 2009. I was working on my off camera flash for a high key look (along with some nice natural lighting). He was a very cooperative model back then at 8 months old ;)

Black H'mong Hill Tribe's Home around Sa Pa, Vietnam.
These mountain tribes have lived very secluded lives far away from the outside world for many years. Today, most of them wear traditional dress and still live according to ancient customs.
The women of the Black H’mong hill tribe in mountains of northern Vietnam traverse miles of mountainous terrain each day to work in the rice paddies or sell their handmade goods to visitors. Their traditional hemp clothing is dyed with indigo and intricately embroidered by hand.
