A gentle trek takes one to a desolate corner of the hills and one can hear the laughters of the nature....

Got home Friday morning, and back on the road this afternoon, Sunday. Didn't make it far, 200 miles and I-80 closed at Rock Springs Wyoming due to winter storm.
Was watching the Voice and decided I need to post something while I have a few hours of down time before going to bed. So a little multitasking tonight.
About this picture, my daughter and grandkids picked me up at my mom's house (my mom was off getting her hair cut). I was tired, my delivery in Salt Lake was at 5AM, but when you know you only have a limited amount of time, you suck it up.
The original plan was to go to Lagoon Amusement Park, but it turns out Lagoon doesn't open until 5PM on Friday's, or at least that's how it is in October. Anyway, we have season passes, and had only planned to stay for a couple of hours before going home getting my mom and going to dinner. Luckily there was this neighborhood park nearby and fortunately kids know how to have fun just about anywhere.
It was so worth it, I got some amazing shots of the kids playing on the playground equipment.
This is probably my favorite shot, I just love the uninhibited expression. The kids had me laughing my ass off, they're so crazy.
Anyway, enough of me, time to post and do a little visiting. Hope you are all safe and staying active with your photography.
Last week, my niece's daughter celebrated her first birthday. Three days a week I spend the day with her. We sing, dance, laugh, play, read books, go on walks, snack on graham crackers, explore, nap, share and enjoy each others company.
“A day without laughter is a day wasted.”
I was laughing when my husband snapped this picture today. Now everytime I look at it, I can't resist smiling at the memory.
A proud new father sits down with his dad to have a drink.
"Well son, now that you have a son of your own its time I gave you something."
"Dad you dont mea-"
"Yes I do. You've earned it." Says the father as he passes a copy of '1001 Dad Jokes 5th Edition' to the son.
"Dad I dont know what to say...I'm honored."
"Hi honored," Replies the father. "I'm dad."

Laughter puts you into the moment, and when you are in the moment you are completely nonjudgmental, just noticing...witnessing...the way things are and the way they ought to be.

It is summer, it is the solstice
the crowd is
cheering, the crowd is laughing

permanently, seriously
without thought.

I must have said something funny. This was taken in 2022 while on a sunset cruise off the coast of Maui. I look forward to going back soon, supporting the tourist economy and those who depend on it. Take care everyone, and have a wonderful holiday season and a great new year. B
I re-edited this after somone mention it looked 'flat' which I agreed with once I had uploaded. Odd really as Flickr usually displays very well. Something I must have done no doubt
This picture was a misfire. I'd been drinking, and forgot to turn on the flash, so the image came out completely black, until I put it through Photoshop on the off-chance. I think the resulting graininess is in keeping with the candid, accidental spirit of the shot.
