The monument is lit up in French colours this week in show of solidarity with France. We stopped here on our way home from doing a lateshift, this was taken around 2am in the morning with John Carson & Dave Surtees.

The last faint rays of a setting sun are illuminating the construction site. High on the northern side of the Kyrenia mountain range in Cyprus, the migrant workers are still at work. Soon it will be only moonlight to steer their toil.

It's weekend, it's supersunny and hot, and I'm off for a week, yay! The next week is important for me on a personal level, it marks 2 milestones in my life that have made me the man I am today, and I am going to enjoy having the time to think about where I'm coming from and where I'm going to, without having to look at the clock all the time, figuring out when I'll have to get back to the office for another soul-crushing lateshift combined with a massive barrage of office-politics BS. I will only think about nice things, I'm just going to do whatever I want and I am going to eat so much ice-cream that they'll have to wheel my bloated body to the nearest ice-cream emergency-room, hahaha :D
Enjoy the wicked weather, have a great weekend :)

The Farmer's Sausage was pretty good.

Granddaughter hides behind Grandpa’s hat. The lunch wagon operated at night near Henry Ford’s original factory in Highland Park, MI. It’s still serving lunch at Greenfield Village in Dearborn, MI. “Grandpa, don’t make the picture gray” said Alice.

Stayed at work until an hour & half after the store closed & had fun with my fraternity clan-Sparks-after that. So this is a true story, writing it as best as my exhausted brain can remember it.
'I used to rule the world,
Seas would rise when I gave the word,
Now in the morning I sleep alone,
Sweep the streets I used to own.'
"Name a mountain that everyone around you has not climbed."
"Mt. Everest."
"Umm.. K-2."
"Kilimanjaro."
"Mt. St. Helen's."
"Alps."
"I've climbed that one! Penalty!"
"One, two, three, four, five, six.. Orange.
Wrap toilet paper around your head."
"Hahahahahahahahaha."
"Name a place where you have been naked."
"You have to say two to win."
"Sauna and the shower."
"....my room."
"The bathtub."
"A hotel."
"The beach."
"....my rooftop."
"No way!"
"My car."
"Really?"
"Haha, yeah."
'I used to roll the dice,
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes,
Listen as the crowd would sing,
Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!'
"Pick a tile."
"Um.. take your shirt off."
"Hahaha, you got that one again!"
"Bitch slap the person on your right."
*slaps that person*
"That wasn't a bitch slap, do it again."
*slaps that person lightly*
"Pick a tile."
"Twerk."
"Hold on, I'm going to play Gas Pedal!"
"Somebody take a picture!"
"No, not my camera, there's no memory card in it!"
"I got a picture!"

The heart of the city is a mess... But only for a while. The major reconstruction work which is going on at the moment will reshape the the most central area of Wuppertal. When I was coming back from work I took a photograph of others who were still working the late shift.

I never buy The Sun newspaper. But this evening on the way home from a lateshift, I spotted a copy on the metro home and idly flipped through the pages, not much of interest. The this leaped out at me...
Things that go bumper in the night
IF you met these spooky fellas on a fairground ride, you'd definitely want to dodge 'em.
The eerie figures made entirely of light look like they're driving bumper cars. And you wouldn't want to be sitting near them at the cinema - where they look as if they'd be scarier than anything you'd see in a horror movie.
Other images show skeletons made of light. In one, they look like the Rolling Bones - playing guitars and drums in a band. Another more chilling image shows them standing among the trees in a dark, snowy forest.
Wacky Finnish artist Janne Parviainen created the images without any computer trickery.
Using a technique called light painting, the 30-year-old from Helsinki outlined the figures by moving hand-held lights in front of a camera set with a long exposure.
Seems like a bright idea.

Took this one myself in the house. I was running a roll of film through my camera to keep it working as I hadn't used it for quite a while. Probably taken before I went to work a lateshift. Epaulettes on means that I was probably controller in the office at the time.
Visitors to Late Shift Extra: Edgar Heap of Birds created their own three word responses to the question 'How do we see each other?' and then headed to the Photobooth to have their photograph taken with their work. These images were then projected onto the walls of the Gallery on the night and participants were able to take their photographs home.
