Bijna een jaar geleden toen mijn zus en ik de bollenroute reden maakte ik deze foto.We hebben een hele tijd naast een veld gezeten in de hoop een gele kwik op de tulpen te kunnen fotograferen. Ik kan zeggen dat dat gelukt was maar eigenlijk zaten ze veel te ver weg en soms vloekte de kleuren :-) ook een superzoom helpt niet want de details worden er niet beter op. Wel was het een geweldige dag en misschien gaan we binnenkort nog eens. Hoewel we eerst een weekendje Hongarije gaan doen (met moederdag)waar ik hoop op de hop en de scharrelaar. Maar eigenlijk vind ik alles leuk.

Ok, so this is when I realise that I might have a dangerous obsession with Flickr!
I had spotted this after Sunday lunch today as a better alternative for the macro Monday It's A-peeling to me. There's a run of orange peel macro work but I assume that there will be orange peel a plenty. This ( in daylight) was a more obvious choice as a natural a-peeling process. This years rhubarb is just starting to grow and break through it's protective winter skin, peeling back the brown layers gently, it greatly A-pealed to me.
However, the light was grim today and when I had uploaded the photos onto the computer they were either out of focus or too dark etc etc the usual problems.
Determined to get "the" snap I wanted i've just been out in the dark to get this shot. YES I know I've cheated by using the inbuilt flash, but I hope the MM community will forgive me in view of the more unusual ( I hope) capture!! The focal point is less than an inch in size at present, it'll grow though!
This was taken last year on a road trip...my first and so far only hawk shot. It wasn't real clear so I played with it....

Such a grey day here I looked for some colour to brighten things up! One of my Simple pleasures is to take some blue hydrangea flowers from last year, still keeping some colour as they slowly dry. Together with stronger colours behind the window on the garden - and I feel warmer already!
