Tried to get the cats in action again. This time, sunlight was on my side. I used the laser pointer instead of a string toy.
Leia actually tried this time. She really likes the laser pointer.

Next step is making a mold for casting the head in whitemetall.
I do this without the snakes yet, to have a backup mold first before I go further as I'm uncertain if it will be possible to make a usable mold with all the snakes in place.

This is a video of my Wicked Lasers "Advanced" (Executive Series) laser igniting a match. It is not powerful enough to ignite matches on its own, so I had to use a convex lens.

Stuck the flashlight in my shirt, and Marcella drew a heart around it with the laser pointer over a 6 second exposure.
I was playing with my green laser pointer and a piece of glass I bought as a souvenir from my only trip to the city of Pisa. The way it looks reminds me of an action movie displaying futuristic 3D blueprints (greenprints in this case) of landmarks.
Josh has discovered the laser pointer. Just the sight of the elusive red light and he goes into full predator frenzy. Chasing it at full speed around the house, the street, the beach, whatever. He will slam into furniture, lick walls, and bite my feet trying to kill it.
It's also dog walking for the lazy. Go to beach. Turn on light. Watch dog run. Turn off light when dog is pooped. Usually after five minutes of dead sprint.

What the demonic hellspawn hatch from.
This is the lovely crystal egg again, taking on a very different tone from the past few days. I've taken an ordinary laser pointer that I keep around to entertain my cat with, set the camera up in a dark room for a longer exposure time and spent somewhere between 8-10 seconds illuminating the egg from various angles.
It took me about 10 tries to get what I wanted. One of the other outtakes is here too.

My first experiments with long exposure and light. This is 5 separate shots made into an animated GIF.
Equipment: Canon PowerShot S3 IS, Tripod, and Laser Pointer.
Haven't light painted in a while now so I decided it was time. Got the idea of photographing the very thing I wear on my wrist every day. This Livestrong bracelet is part of me due to past occurrences with cancer in the family and I thought, "what better way to show it than with some good ol' Light Painting?!!" I hit the bracelets with a flashlight for about 2 seconds and then went to town with my green laser pointer. Adjusted levels and wa-la.

Nano catching a laser light dot.. Nano could barely move having chased the dot for an hour or so. Nano would try and catch the dot, while Minnie seemed to prefer to chase it.
The die is resting on a class IIIa laser pointer emitting red light between 630nm and 680nm. This is the only source of illumination.
I've been rearranging my apartment and temporarily have this expanse of white wall. So, I got the idea to set up the tripod and play with a laser-pointer on it, to see if I could catch Tuesday in some interesting action shots and to see what kinds of shadows I could get.

Mine is a laser light shined through a Coca-Cola glass. Shined? Shone? Google tells me they're both correct.
