Steve Chivalry helped me today in the workshops at Portsmouth University. Trying to see if the laser cutter would cut into the skateboard to make rings, bangles, iconic products etc

The creative designs from our second round of "soda bottle spacecraft" were amazing. Participants got to use the laser cutter, Dremel and recycled and 3D-printed parts to make fanciful creations.

Apparently this maker wasn't in a very cheerful holiday mood when he was at work on the laser cutter in the Jocelyn H. Lee Innovation Lab. What's the equivalent of 'bah humbug' for Easter?

Before the Hamilton Wayzgoose, I had the mind-bending experience of a weekend workshop with Dafi Kuhne and learning techniques of printing using the laser cutter, cardboard, and more!

Laser cut baltic birch

pirate map on flagstone, (thinking of doing it across several stepping stones for my yard. was testing how well it marks works fine even when the pirate falls off a cliff.

Makers in the Innovation Lab had an opportunity to build their own custom mask designs from foam and recycled materials using the laser cutter and other tools in the library's makerspace.
