My new Pioneer LaserActive with Sega PAC.

Was interesting reading the history of Nintendo and learned that between 1963 and 1968, Nintendo set up a taxi company, food company and even love hotels.

All are Japanese games, but play in English as well.

Time for an odd Pioneer LaserActive promo, The 'Mr. J.H. Long' Video. This is probably the weirdest promotional video I have seen, since from what I was able to understand it promotes the LaserActive as like alien technology and integrates the promo along with a mock interview with someone recounting their abduction experience.

I've had the VHS for awhile and got it pretty cheap, but I recently came across the actual laserdisc version as well. It's a smaller 8" LD with all the content on it, but the sleeve is pretty basic compared to the VHS which is kind of a shame. If you want to watch the whole thing you can do so here: youtu.be/j_MbWydCm7U

Laser what indeed...

One of my HOLY GRAILS for the LaserActive of the last several years. I've been looking for a copy for awhile that didn't make my wallet cry and got lucky as sin here. It was a blind buy on condition and it looks great. There is some slight rubbing on the sleeve but other than that it looks like new. I actually originally thought I was getting the MegaLD version but this showed up instead. I will not complain, and can't wait to get to play it ;)

Yet another copy of 3D Museum, again with no glasses. But it's the ROMROM version and I wanted to try and grab it if I could. Got a nice deal on it and was another blind buy on condition. Looks pretty decent all things considered. I'm not sure if the ROMROM version came with the heavy outer sleeve either, but this one is lacking both that and the 3D glasses.

I picked these up kind of randomly. The LaserActive VHS was one I'd be wanting to find for awhile, there is also a LD version of it too. The Sega Video Magazine was also this weird thing they did back in the day, it lasted from 1993 to 1998 which is kind of neat. I figured it would be a cool thingy to add to my library.

The Zappingu was a blind buy on condition and has no obi, I can't complain too much though since the price was great. I have a US copy of Triad Stone but found a good price on this JP copy and wanted one with an obi finally. POWER POWER POWER!

Here's a neat little piece of history, the NEC '94 PC Engine Official Catalog. It's promoting the Duo-RX on the front, but in the back there is a cool spread of a lot of the hardware for sale including the #laseractive. I'll be honest that I mainly bought this for the Popful Mail callout on the inside though. But they are advertising a lot of other Arcade CD enhanced titles in the flyer as well like Brandish and 3X3 Eyes.

No obi, but everything is in pretty decent shape. I also got it pretty cheap compared to what it normally goes for.
