La Santa Muerte, Spanish for Our Lady of Holy Death, as seen with La Calavera Catrina, "the Dapper Skeleton" during the procession at the Dia de losMuertos Celebration in Los Angeles. La Calavera Catrina was created by famous print maker and cartoon artist Jose Guadalupe Posada, around 1910. La Santa Muerte has been a referential image of death in Mexico.

La Santa Muerte or the Saint of the Dead figurines. For anyone who really loves the Mexican culture and that something extra special, I would suggest one of these hand made "unique" figurines. They come in all different shapes, sizes, poses and there is sure to be one to fit anyones curiosity. I found myself drawn to these art pieces!

These pieces are available from "Poncho" (speaks English/Spanish) at the:

This is a sculpture of a cult practiced here in Mexico called "The Saint Death". This cult came out as a mixture of the ancient aztecs mithology and the catolic relygion. During this trip inside the cult I met witches and warlocks who works between black and white magic, and they explained to me the essence of the cult related to the death and how miraculous is she. The number of devouts is increasing very fast it is a spooky but interesting part of our mexican culture.
