A CP Rail train heads west through Morant's Curve, in Banff National Park. Yes, west bound! The last car is a Kansas City Southern engine. CP Rail is hoping to merge with Kansas City Southern Railroad, which would make it the only railroad servicing Canada, the US and Mexico.
Did you know that Morant's Curve was named for Nicholas Morant, a photographer who worked for Canadian Pacific to create promotional material for CP? His work was also used to promote tourisim in Western Canada as well as on some currency and stamps in the mid 20th century.

This is a sea bay near where I live. I walk around this area basically every day, and I like it lot. I love cities that have a lot of water in and around them. Helsinki is definitely one of those cities.

Landscape pic 2/7 to a challenge set by @annamsiren is from a sightseeing spot near my home, featuring a melted snow collection mountain by city of Helsinki in the front, downtown Helsinki in the left end of the horizon and Vanhankaupunginselkä bay on the right. Young people gather here to listen to music and hang around, some climb stairs here to get fit and some have picnics here. I just wander here through easy paths through the forest.
This was pretty tough this week. To scout out a landscape that was different than the typical outdoorsie type landscape. I was looking for a Cityscape that was interesting. This is what I came up with. I would love your thought.
200616: I got Winsor & Newton gouache paints from the dear @gila.be and practiced painting water. I mean... I live here at the water and every time I paint something with water I cramp myself... practice is the only thing that helps.

200607: Another gouache attempt: The promenade of Laboe. In this case the trees really look like broccoli, so the promenade is now called Broccoli Promenade.
