Another angle of Lani lookout. This is looking back towards Hanauma bay which is just around the corner.
Morning
In the beginning (in the beginning of time to say
the least) there were the compasses: whirling in
void their feet traced out beginnings and endings,
beginning and end in a single line. Wisdom danced
also in circles for these were her kingdom: the sun
spun, worlds whirled, the seasons came round, and
all things went their rounds: but in the beginning,
beginning and end were in one.
And in the beginning was love. Love made a sphere:
all things grew within it; the sphere then encompassed
beginnings and endings, beginning and end. Love
had a compass whose whirling dance traced out a
sphere of love in the void: in the center thereof
rose a fountain.

I had the thrill of capturing the humpback whale as it breached in the Lanai waters of Hawaii! In order to capture the movement of the breaching, I used Photoshop Elements to create a composite of 4 individual images.

Heading to the outer islands for work and caught this amazing sunrise over Lanai with Mauna Kea in the background!
I went on a quick trip to Oahu for a conference and got to know the area a bit better. I stopped here at Lanai lookout during the day and knew I had to come here for sunrise. The rock formations are amazing. The layers of dirt and erosion creates nice lines and textures on the rock.

Kinetic Photograph made with one single long exposure shot. See more in: "The Best of Drawing with Light"
Went down to explore different shots from last trip to Lanai lookout. I liked how the water was caught in the striations of the rock formations.
This is looking back at the Kalanianaole highway. The family and I stopped off here on our way to Sea Life center. This is the color version. I have also uploaded the B&W version. Let me know which one you like better. Thanks for viewing my gallery
