Playing around in my kitchen with my new macro lens.

For lunch, we decided to dine in at an artsy local cafe managed by a local Ainu lady. She makes a very tasty sauted deer ricebowl

Designed and made by myself. Opaque glass was used in this design and when lit the colours and texture of the glass looks stunning.

Jerusalem Light Exhibit, 2009. Stall in a market for light fixtures made by artists. These lampshades are made of slats created by sandwiching layers of magazines and paper together and bonding themw. Artist: Erez Mulay.

This lampshade appeared to be made of dried out old sticks of wood! We found it in the restaurant of the Globetrotter store.

Into the new house, and bought some new lampshades to celebrate :-) They make a great pattern on the ceiling.

A star. Well a star lampshade.

They just reminded me of those little individual lampshades, you would find in a seedy hotel.

This is from Robert Kaufman collection called "Sisters of the Golden Temple". Because the design is so specific, I had to cut six 60-degree wedges and sew them together to preserve the design. Lost some of the details between the faces, but it was the best option.
