A former lace factory (from 1865) now converted into apartments. It's conversion, first into offices, was a bit of a disaster; when the internal structures were demolished, the facade was insufficiently supported and much it collapsed. What is seen today, is an accurate rebuild that the local planning authority insisted on. The curved section at the front is a new addition. Talbot Street, Nottingham (2018).

Meet Lambert - the love of my life, my best friend, the reason all of my macros are covered in hair. I'm sorry I ventured into posting pictures of my cat territory. I think I got it out of my system. I can't promise it won't happen again.

Tugboat Lambert started its life in 1930 as a steamboat, but the 300 hp steam engine was replaced in 1960 by a Bolnes diesel engine producing 480 hp.

SAIL Amsterdam is a maritime event held once every five years in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Tall ships from all over the world visit the city to moor in its eastern harbour. SAIL Amsterdam 2025 is the tenth edition, and the first one since 2015 as the 2020 event was cancelled. It was one of the main events celebrating Amsterdam's 750th birthday. It was also 50 years since the first SAIL Amsterdam was held.

EMRY 207 thunders around the end of Lambert Lake through some of the best foliage I have seen this year. The reds and oranges are incredible on this end of Route 6, and the hills are coated with color. 6319, 8145, and 6401 are pulling on a train of 33x88 for this westbound trip, which was primarily empty chip and log cars.

A dead tree with a view of Dorset beyond. The slope up to the ancient hill fort at NT Lambert's Castle in Dorset.

Malet Lambert has a long and proud history, dating back to 1932. Once a grammar school, it became a community comprehensive school in 1968 and it continues to be true to the word ‘comprehensive’ more than 56 years later.....Seen from across the Lake at Hulls East Park ..

I couldn’t resist this stylish work by George Lambert (1873-1930). The gladioli and pipe is a nice touch. Born in St Petersburg, Russia, Lambert came to Australian with his mother in 1887. He studied art with Julian Ashton in Sydney, and then in 1900 went to further his development in Paris. From there he exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts in London from 1904-1911. He is best remembered today as one of Australia’s greatest war artists. But he was more than that, and has also been called Australia’s first “celebrity artist”. www.ngv.vic.gov.au/multimedia/george-w-lambert-the-artist/

This 1922 self-portrait was withdrawn from the Archibald Prize exhibition two weeks after opening as Lambert had been deemed ineligible owning to the fact he was registered at a London address. Lambert was quite adamant the Archibald committee were not going to deem his work ineligible and at the same time gain from the celebrity it had already created in the show. Fortunately he was to win the award in 1927. www.artgallery.nsw.gov.au/artboards/archie-100/wielding-t...

Another irresistible feature of this shot for me was the conjunction of the two heads of the viewers. The man in the cap neatly fitting into the frame behind him after seemingly emerging from the head of the woman.
