Packers 10 - Vikings 24
ouch
At least the hotdogs didn't stink
Besides the hotdogs and the flyover, the other highlight was that the University of Wisconsin marching band performed the national anthem (shown on the field in this image) AND played at halftime.
I'm cleaning out the fridge as it were, LOL! Another shot that has been in my 'Post to Flickr' folder since...Oh yeah...Memorial Weekend. I Thank EVERYONE for your nice comments on my last image, but I really am cleaning out my folder of images that have just gotten pushed to the back. I am my own harshest critic. :-)
I am not sure who this statue is of since I am not a Packers fan (I am sure Kathy can help me on this). But since the start of the NFL pre-season is this week I thought this image very fitting to finally get posted.
Thanks for looking. I am a big behind tonight, so I will catch up with everyone tomorrow. *Smile*

Particularly appreciated by the Paris and Brussels fairs, the work of Jef Lambeaux leads indignant reactions during his presentation at the 1905 World Exposition Public Liege takes offense at the scene of struggle between the naked bodies entwined with a faun and a woman full forms.
The Exhibition Committee vote even of returning the work to the artist. Finally, to repair the affront to this renowned sculptor, the City purchases the bronze to be placed in the rose garden of the park after the Second World War.

A pregame flyover of A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft (aka “Warthogs”) based out of the 122d Fighter Wing in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Prior to the home opener game vs the Minnesota Vikings, 09-15-19 at the famed Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin USA.
Note that the stadium clock is set 15 minutes fast, aka “Lombardi Time”.
In his day, Coach Vince Lombardi expected his players and coaches to be 15 minutes early to meetings and practices. Not “on time”, but 15 minutes early. If they were not 15 minutes early, he considered them to be “late”. Thus, it came to be known as “Lombardi time”.
Taken this afternoon using the Mavic 3 drone. I received a lot of warnings before my launch but understood little about these messages. Flight was quick and conservative as a result. Also I had difficulties going from the drone's telephoto function back to wide angle. Gonna have to study the manual a bit more.
Fireworks at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI on New Years Eve.
Lambeau Field is an outdoor athletic stadium in the north central United States, located in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The home field of the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL), it opened in 1957 as City Stadium, replacing the original City Stadium at East High School as the Packers' home field. Informally known as New City Stadium for its first eight seasons, it was renamed in August 1965 in memory of Packers founder, player, and long-time head coach, Curly Lambeau, who had died two months earlier.
The stadium's street address has been 1265 Lombardi Avenue since August 1968, when Highland Avenue was renamed in honor of former head coach Vince Lombardi. It sits on a block bounded by Lombardi Avenue (north); Oneida Street (east); Stadium Drive and Valley View Road (south); and Ridge Road (west). The playing field at the stadium has a conventional north-south alignment, at an elevation of 640 feet (195 m) above sea level.
The stadium completed its latest renovation in the summer of 2013 with the addition of 7,000 seats high in the south end zone. About 5,400 of the new seating is general, while the remaining 1,600 seats are club or terrace suite seating.[18] With a capacity of 81,441, Lambeau Field is the fifth-largest stadium in the NFL with standing room, but is fourth in normal capacity.[19] It is now the largest venue in the state, edging out Camp Randall Stadium (80,321) at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
Lambeau Field is the oldest continually operating NFL stadium.[20] In 2007, the Packers completed their 51st season at Lambeau, breaking the all-time NFL record set by the Chicago Bears at Wrigley Field (1921–70). (While Soldier Field in Chicago is older, it was not the home of the Bears until 1971.) Only the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park and the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field have longer active home-field tenures in American professional sports.
Harsh summer lighting but it was neat to see hallowed Lambeau Field on the horizon. I highly recommend the tour. That long open-air passenger car was once a missile carrier for the Air Force.
