Lugu Lake (Chinese: 泸沽湖; Pinyin: Lúgū Hú) is located in the North West Yunnan plateau in the centre of Ningliang Yi Autonomous County in the People's Republic of China. The middle of the lake forms the border between the Ninglang County of Yunnan Province and the Yanqing County of Sichuan province. The formation of the lake is thought to have occurred in a geological fault belonging to the geological age of the Late Cenozoic. It is an alpine lake at an elevation of 2,685 metres (8,809 ft) and is the highest lake in the Yunnan Province. The lake is surrounded by mountains and has five islands, four peninsulas, fourteen bays and seventeen beaches.

The Brazos River flows through the heart of Texas. A focal point for early settlers in the new Republic, the river runs north to south through central Texas. Today three dams create reservoirs on the Brazos in order to control floods and generate power on the river. Pictured is the middle of these reservoirs which bears the name of the biggest town on the lake, Granbury. Even though it is the smallest of the Brazos’ reservoirs, it measures over 33 miles long and has a 102 miles of shoreline.

Mono Lake, nestled in California's eastern Sierra Nevada, is renowned for its extraordinary saline environment, dramatic tufa towers, and the incredibly productive ecosystem it sustains.

This highly alkaline lake provides a unique habitat for brine shrimp and alkali flies, which in turn support millions of migratory birds.

The striking tufa towers, formed by mineral deposits, stand as iconic, otherworldly sentinels around its shores.

Even in the frigid winter, Mono Lake remarkably remains unfrozen, a testament to its high salt concentrations.

Adding to its geological intrigue, the Mono Lake volcanic field, with vents on its northern shore and on Paoha and Negit Islands, was last active mere centuries ago.

Well been a week since my last post and working on some new hobbies so this isn’t my usual post. I have begun to treat myself with some preventative herbal medicine right now I am working on my immune defenses given its everything season out there. I spent many months reading and researching and have narrowed some things down that seemed to have some great abilities to fire up the immune system pre sickness and I think this one so far is a winner you can look up the ingredients and their benefits on your own if you are interested as I can only tell you what works for me.

Immuno-T

1 part each dried Elderberry, Rose Hips, Echinacea Root, Astragalus, Ginger

I like mine herbs powdered so mix in a spice grinder for maximum extraction; otherwise 3-4 tsp in a 1l mason jar filled with boiling water, let steep 10 minutes drink then hot or cold and a spoonful of honey makes the medicine go down so does a slice or two lemon.

I took this on Oct 24th, 2021 with my D850 and Tamron 15-30 f2.8 G2 Lens at 30mm, 5s, f8 ISO 64 processed in LR, PS +Topaz ,and DXO

Vaseux Lake is a freshwater lake located along the course of the Okanagan River in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada. Also known as Indian Head Mountain.

McIntyre Bluff is a historic landmark at the south end of the lake. This landmark is named after Peter McIntyre, one of the Overlanders of 1862 who had also been a guard on the Pony Express in the American West.

First Nations in the area tell a story of a battle centuries ago on top of McIntyre Bluff. An enemy war party from the south (now Washington State) was lured to the top and driven over the cliffs.

The Mondsee is a lake in the upper Austrian Salzkammergut and the neighbours of the Attersee. The South bank forms the border between Upper Austria and Salzburg and between the Limestone Alps in the south and the sandstone zone. The Dragon Wall, which is peaks on the southwest Bank, is also striking.

The view from the hidden lake overlook is incredible. One of the best views in all of glacier, Only able to walk to the overlook, second part of the trial after the overlook is steeper, trail to the lake “must take bear spray” due to bear activity, forgot to take it, could not go further. View of the lake was amazing and definitely worth the hike.
