The Beach ...
This shot of an extremely overcast day last summer at Jack Darling Park; the sky was brooding and rain was in the forecast. the daylight was strained through the heavy cloud cover, giving everything a dull muted tone and making the blue highlights in the clouds cast a moody glow on the entire scene. A nice day for a long walk along the beach stepping over rocks and washed up pieces of driftwood..

We were able to hike along the lake from our campsite. It was a perfect day to spend a lot of time outside!

Two Cliffs engines bring an empty bottle train out of Lakefront passing the former East Chicago water treatment plant.
Sorry Friends This was Shot at The Accenture Triathlon in Chicago, but I didn't mean to submit This exact Photo... because as you can see, it's Not an Action Shot ..... unless you count the spectators & cyclists walking past during The Shot? :) My problem is I'm Very New here & Can't figure out how to successfully Delete the photo from The Group without Deleting the photo all together? :(

Lake Michigan at sunset on the Southside of Chicago. The rocky shore here quickly turns into the sands of 57th Street Beach, across from Lake Shore Drive and the Museum of Science & Industry. Going the opposite direction the rocks turn into Promontory Point, the man-made peninsula known by residents simply as "The Point".
When I went out last night to shoot along the lake at blue hour I was quickly frozen by the harsh winds coming in off of the lake. The surf was very rough and constantly send sprays of icy water through the air. I didn't get too wet, but I did have to constantly wipe my lens.
