Muy poquita agua lleva la cascada en este mes de Enero. Hace casi un mes que concluyeron unas escasas nevadas. Esperemos que en estas jornadas que presagian frio y nieve se normalice la situación.

Un lugar único y muy visitado en el Valle de Tobalina. El entorno ha sido acondicionado para recibir a miles de visitantes a lo largo del año. En especial el viejo molino y los accesos a la cascada.

Algo me inquietó en esta imagen. Un perrito muy cerca de las aguas de la cascada, en momentos cercanos al atardecer. Parecía perdido, pero resultó que acompañaba a su dueño por el otro lado del rio. En este caso no hay problema de chucho extraviado, otra plaga del siglo XXI.

La iglesia del Salvador, dedicada a San Salvador, está situada en la ciudad de Toledo. Es una de las iglesias nombradas en el Lazarillo de Tormes.

En origen fue una mezquita (Siglo IX o incluso anterior).

En su construcción, como era habitual, se reutilizaron diferentes elementos arquitectónicos visigodos, gracias a lo cual se ha conservado la arquería de herradura apoyada sobre pilastras visigodas con decoración esculpida de temas figurativos, poco habituales en este tipo de restos.

La Pilastra de El Salvador (la primera, al lado del altar), presenta en una de sus caras diversas escenas milagrosas de la vida de Jesús, en registros superpuestos.

La Diezma (821 m) es un monte que se encuentra en la Comarca de Tarazona (Zaragoza), y en sus faldas se encuentra ubicado el pueblo de Grisel, podemos contemplar buena parte del Moncayo aragonés, y si volvemos la vista hacia el lado contrario, podemos observar las dilatadas planicies de la Depresión del Ebro, con Tarazona y Tudela como núcleos cercanos mayores.

La plaza de la Constitución es una plaza situada en la Parte Vieja de la ciudad de San Sebastián, en el País Vasco, España. En esta plaza, con sus soportales como característica principal, se suelen celebrar las grandes fiestas y eventos de la ciudad, como la tamborrada de San Sebastián o la feria del día de Santo Tomás. Su edificio central fue, hasta 1947, casa consistorial de la ciudad, siendo ocupado por las instalaciones de la Biblioteca Municipal (1951-2000) y, posteriormente, por dependencias administrativas del área de cultura del Ayuntamiento.

Sobre el espacio que ocupa la actual plaza de la Constitución ya existía una plaza realizada según el proyecto de Hércules Torrelli de 1723. La nueva plaza de estilo neoclásico se levantó tras el incendio de la ciudad en el contexto del asedio de San Sebastián de 1813. Sus dimensiones se encuentran moduladas en 20 arcos iguales en cada uno de los lados mayores y 9 arcos, iguales a los primeros, en el lado menor.

Los balcones de la plaza están numerados, puesto que sirvieron como palcos para las fiestas taurinas celebradas en la plaza.

The Plaza de la Constitución is a square located in the Old Part of the city of San Sebastián, in the Basque Country, Spain. Les Painted Ladies, qui sont-elles ?

Typiques d’une époque, les Painted Ladies reflètent l’architecture de style victorien, sous l’époque victorienne et le règne de la Victoria 1ère de 1837 à 1901, puis de style édouardien, sous le règne d’Edouard VII, de 1901 à 1910.

Le terme « Painted Ladies » a été inventé par les écrivains Elizabeth Pomada et Michael Larsen en 1978 pour décrire les jolies maisons colorées de San Francisco, et a ensuite été repris pour qualifier d’autres maisons du même style dans différentes villes, comme à Charles Village à Baltimore, à Lafayette Square à St Louis, à Columbia-Tusculum à Cincinnati…

With lockdowns being eased, the lads from work and I decided to start the climbing season with a small climb up a Corbett called Morrone. 1.5 miles doesn't sound too far, but it's all uphill so it might take a while!

Got myself a Valoi Easy35 and a used Nikon 60mm AF-D for some negative scanning.

My very first train spotting day out was on a special (class 47 hauled) from my home town of Stafford to Bristol Temple Meads, where this shot was taken. It was, I think, in the autumn or winter of 1980.

I have no recollection of taking this, but i'm very pleased with my 14 year old self, have to say. Dad had let me borrow his Canon fixed lens camera.

That's my friend Rob. HSTs were a novelty for us at that point, having never seen them before.

The tiny picturesque fishing village of Staithes on the North Yorkshire coast can be rough at times. The wind is a-whipping and just a few moments back a couple of lads were standing at these railings.

Where to start?

Since Helen passed away I've become more involved with the homeless community volunteering for the local soup kitchen.

I don't speak about our clients as a rule but occasionally someone hit's a nerve.

Will was one of our clients. Doncaster born and bred. Ex-Forces and homeless in Chester. We see this often, which is appalling in itself but he was so decent, clear and circumspect he was a joy to serve.

I showed this pic to him, and he said it reminded him of Afghanistan. It's Buttertubs and not entirely sure Buttertubs has been compared to Afghanistan before, or if that's a welcome comparison.

Will took his own life yesterday. No more fighting mate.
