Some of the career firefighters doing the first part of the course (the "serpentine"), where you back up through the cones. These cones were *tight*. We opened them up a bit for the ladder truck. It's a weird rig because you have both a driver in the front and in the back (who controls the back wheels). We talked to the guys and they said that in the back, you have to do exactly the opposite of what feels natural.

4.30 pm, made a quick visit to my friend who lives alongside SH27.

This HDR shot of a ladder really brings out the layers of paint being exposed by the weathering of the playground piece. It also enhances the color of the grass behind.

A fish ladder, also known as a fishway, fish pass or fish steps, is a structure on or around artificial barriers (such as dams and locks) to facilitate diadromous fishes' natural migration. Most fishways enable fish to pass around the barriers by swimming and leaping up a series of relatively low steps (hence the term ladder) into the waters on the other side. The velocity of water falling over the steps has to be great enough to attract the fish to the ladder, but it cannot be so great that it washes fish back downstream or exhausts them to the point of inability to continue their journey upriver.

A Hermétique Garage in suspension of frozen time. Space is getting bended during it's acceleration towards the speed of light. A ladder at first too big is deconstructing to persuade it's goal to fit the GH (Garage Hermétique).

Ladder Contraction is a thought experiment in special relativity. It involves a ladder traveling horizontally and undergoing a length contraction, the result of which being that it can fit into a much smaller garage. On the other hand, from the point of view of an observer moving with the ladder, it is the garage that is moving and the garage will be contracted to an even smaller size, therefore being unable to contain the ladder at all. This apparent paradox results from the assumption of absolute simultaneity. In relativity, simultaneity is relative to each observer and thus the ladder can fit into the garage in both instances.

Yes, The ladder to success is hard, old, rusty, and big !

but its the only way up THERE !

so Jump !

They were giving rides in the cherry picker basket at the end of the ladder. Cool!

Ladder Golf anyone? We had so much fun with it at Dad's family picnic, we figured we'd bring it along to Mom's. Dan and Brooke missed it because they were on their Honeymoon, but they got their fill of it today!

Ladders aren't just for climbing. Why not use them for vertical height in small areas. Great for planters or other garden art. Paint a bright color and they will really stand out in your beds.
