following several days of rain along the dempster highway last september, i noticed a wonderful spicy aroma in the tundra air, one i could not place until after arriving in inuvik

while waiting for a table at a tiny restaurant my wife and i were offered tea from a blackened pot that was sitting beside a warm wood fire...the tea of course, tasted just the same as the spicy air i had noticed earlier

searching for audio to accompany the video i stumbled across elder bertha skye talking about labrador tea, she is a respected and knowledgeable member of the cree nation but mostly i think she is a sweetheart

My Best Friend ♥

I haven't uploaded anything here in months.

A big reason for that is that I found out my dog, and best friend, Bettis has liver cancer and my days are limited with him.

He's in the twilight of his life, it would seem and all we can do at this point is to make sure he has a good quality of life as long as we have him.

His life has reached its December. I hope it's a long one.

To say I'm devastated would be an understatement.

Telmo Muñoz, que ha cedido gratuitamente a los labradores de su feligresía gran extensión de terreno para un campo de experimentación agrícola, en el que se emplearán exclusivamente abonos minerales con el fin de convencer a los labradores de las ventajas de su aplicación, costeando además, dicho Sr. párroco, todos los gastos que con tal motivo se ocasionen.

Tenemos una verdadera satisfacción en consignar este acto de filantropía que honra sobremanera al señor cura de Sayar, y deseamos que tenga muchos imitadores para levantar la agricultura del estado de postración en que yace en esta comarca."
