Morning Highlights

Nikon z9, 150mm (NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VRS), 1/640s, f/2.8, ISO 100

•

This morning’s light was really lovely, so I practiced a bit with highlight metering [(•*)]. I don’t use this often as it tends to give darker images than I gravitate to, but today’s light was a nice way to practice. Here our girl is again (I swear this year is the year of Nikki haha), looking at reflections in the window.

I don’t know what is trickier: shooting in snow, or shooting a fast-moving dog after throwing the ball and then grabbing the camera to get her photo? At any rate, here’s a little fun series of playing ball in the snow with Nikki.

Doesn’t this remind you of an athlete sliding to make the play? I wish I had the dexterity of a dog. Nikki loved the snow today - even cuddling up to a snowbank haha. Did you get out and play in the snow today?
