Could someone please explain the warning labels on my Netbook to me?
They look like "Do not insert baby's head into Netbook screen".
The old typewriter used for making spine labels for library books, now since gone the way of the Dodo.
This is the label for a brew that ended up unintentionally sitting with hot peppers in it for months on it. Ended up tasty, but with a fiery spice kick to it. Since the label on the jar of peppers I used reads "Peperoncino Intero" I figured I'd call the Ale after it. It's actually a Steam Ale, kinda sorta maybe. But I figured fire was enough of a metaphor, since the spice in the beer overpowers everything else.
I created this label using this Creative Commons Image on Filckr. Not sure how it'll look printed, but I only have seven bottles of the stuff, so I'm not particularly worried. (Though I may try to make a less-spicy version of it sometime.)
The label of Zing went the Strings is a doily. And no, I didn't dye it - i actually found a doily the right colour at the market. I have been collecting the doilies for a while now, and they make great quilt labels. I use Zig Textile Markers for the labels, the same ones I used on the Egyptian Quilt for Jeanne. If the fabrics have been washed, you need a good dose of spray starch to prevent bleeding of the ink.

To be packaged in a green slip-sleeve like an old 78.
The large aqua bottle is older than the clear one in the other photo and may be the only one of this type with a full label. ALSO : New Brunswick Reporter and Fredericton Advertiser
Jan. 20 1892- "John William BRAYLEY, head of the wholesale drug house of Brayley Sons & Co., died at 12 o'clock last night at the age of 69. Mr. Brayley was a native of Devonshire, England and came to this country, settling in New Brunswick, when quite a young man, In 1877 he came to Montreal and built up a large business which his sons will carry on."
A super quirkey wine label from Niepoort Wines in Portugal to celebrate St. Partick's Day. "Sásta" means satisfied in Irish (Gaelic)....and I can confirm that it is a very satisfying wine indeed.
