The fish market at Yobuko, Saga prefecture. Western tourists rarely go to Saga but there is a lot of interesting stuff there. This market in the port town of Yobuko is, I think, one of those things - fresh seafood caught during the previous night is for sale, especially the local specialty of squid. Sold fresh, dried, made into dumplings (ika shumai, イカしゅうまい) or live (best eaten as live sashimi, see: www.flickr.com/photos/drayy/7934917758/ ).
