This pedestrian only alleyway just next to the Kamo River retains much of it's traditional Japanese splendor, as nearby neon signs and traffic abound just a few feet away towards the right. It was originally an entertainment district, although much of the street is now lined with restaurants and tea houses. A bit of Zen right in the center of the city.
