More tree-light fun ... :)

Kylo Ren figurine from the last trilogy of Star Wars’s.

Only son of Han Solo (deceased by Kylos Lightsaber) and Princess Leia Organa (deceased in a complicated Force type way).

I went and got my physical ticket for Star Wars The Force Awakens on Sunday and I can't wait to go and see it tomorrow night at 7:15!

No spoilers please. Please don't be "THAT guy"...Anyone who posts spoilers will be permanently blocked.

Here's another iconic shot that I was pleased to have made into the final cut of the film. I don't have much else to say about it. I just like it.

If you're interested, I posted a photo of how I took this shot here.

And if you're also interested, here is a before/after editing comparison shot.

An experiment, I had this idea of trying to get this scene but all in camera. Possibly might re-do it.

Every Star Wars movie has to end with a duel, and The Force Awakens delivered! The absence of Prequel fight choreography added humanity and relatability to the conflict between the heroes and villains. And there was a clear reason why they were fighting (unlike Phantom Menace). I loved every second of it!

Also, I caved and bought Rey's Speeder today. It was sort of on sale and I used all the points on my store card, so it was cheap. No regrets!

This is my last shot of the year.

I wish you all a Happy New Year!

I'll admit, I'm hooked on the Pokemon Go. Say what you want about the game, it's something my family has been having fun playing together, it gets us outside and going, and I see so many people around town enjoying small parks & memorials that up until now were largely ignored. Those are some pretty big wins in my book.

Sadly, I've been neglecting my LEGO friends as I try to "catch em' all" but I'll get back to posting more shots soon.

Thanks for looking & have a great day!

Like most Star Wars fans, I'm excited to see The Force Awakens in a few days. In celebration, I thought I'd try my hand at a Lego version of the villain/antagonist of the film, Kylo Ren.

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate. Hope your family get togethers are less awkward than this scene.

Sorry, I can't get enough of the expression on this minifigures face. LEGO really did a bang up job on the Robin/Dick Grayson figure. So much so that I'm going to have to fight every urge not to overuse him in my photos.

This shot popped into my head as I was getting my son ready for bed. I originally pictured a long line of stormtroopers on the right hand side with Kylo and Phasma walking past them on the right. Somehow the setup morphed into what you see above though, re-using some set peices from a previous photo.

Hope it makes you chuckle.

Thanks for looking and have a great day

Decided to upload as I liked the combination. Only two more uploads of kylo in the future; 1. His re-designed face, 2. A proper helmet/hood. Credit for face decal goes to Phoenix Custom Bricks

I am in love with my new Finn and Rey minifigs. I was super stoked to get a new maskless Kylo Ren minifig as well.

I try not to get into spoilers, so I won't go into details of this part of the story. Having that said, of the entire film this scene moved me the most. The combination of scenery, the pressing nature of the situation, all the characters reaching their emotional peak, and the swelling music really hit me in the right spot.

If you're interested, I posted a photo of how I took this shot here.

Still playing around with lighting to see what results I can squeeze out of a couple of LED flashlights and a bunch of colored gels.

For this shot, I had two flashlights, one with a red gel on the left and one with a blue gel on the right. It created a nice purple mix, but I added a bit more purple highlights with my iPhone LED and a purple gel.

I tried for a while getting the lightsabers to pop more in the photo, but it's difficult to get those suckers to truly glow. If anyone has any tips, I'm all ears. I ended up just punching them up a bit in Lightroom after the shot was taken.

Thanks a ton to DougJax for the idea.

- "Now. You just keep your mouth shut and do as I say!"

- "..but, there's a K-k-ylo Ren..."

- "There's nobody, you just keep your back glued on that pylon."

- "O-kay.."

This idea came to my mind other day, a pretty quickly after I did my first scene with the two First Order Stormtroopers and Kylo Ren last week. I'm a bit fond to this game, where the boss is trying to locate the staff with no success. In my opinion, it suits perfectly on a theme!

This shot became too iconic to be in the movie. It would have been too distracting!

Everyone has recreated this shot since that first teaser trailer was released last year but I though I'd finally try my hand at it. I had plenty of parts to make the trees to do it, too!

- "Di-did you hear that?"

- "What, what to hear now what, what?!"

- "That little rustle sound, did you felt it?"

- "No. No I didn't. We're just a two of us here. There's nobody else here"

- "I dunno about that. I feel like someone is watching me..."

Here's a two First Order Stormtroopers on the planet Takodana.

I've been recently finding myself photographing a new minifigs from the new Star Wars movie. I have already promised myself for not to pursue on a new things and stick with the Original Trilogy, but then I saw this new Lego set featuring almost all the key figures plus pretty nice vignette from the new movie. So, here's a trio you've might seen, if you have recently visited on a movie theatre near you.

I couldn't resisted to upload this as this turned out to have a pretty nice cinematic feel and those figs feel like they are really having a discussion I described above. Also, I was playing with a whole new way of lighting the set-up, so basically this is an outtake or just a test to explore new things.

Not crazy about how this one turned out. It was shot using a piece of plexiglass, an ipad, and the LED light from my iPhone.

I dunno, felt I could have done more with it.

What do you think?

One last bit of fun based on the SNL Undercover Boss: Starkiller Base skit!

Kylo Ren: "...now, what exactly you've wanted us to see here?"

Dr Who: "Just watch and learn, damnit!"

Kylo Ren: "In case, you didn't knew. already... I'm still like watching. I've been like watching this a decade now!"

Kylo Ren: "It doesn't make you any better if you're holding two of those... what are those anyway... matchsticks? Are those matchsticks? Are you trying' to make a fire or something?

Boba Fett: "What planet is this? Where I am? Am I awake...? Somebody pinch me, right now!"

Kylo Ren: "What's with that phone booth, anyway. Who ya gonna call?

...

Actually, Dr. Who is trying to show some of his magic tricks to Boba Fett, but Kylo Ren is messing all up. Oh, well!

For those, who are not familiar with these characters... from left to right: Boba Fett, Kylo Ren, Dr. Who and TARDIS.

just finished the Kylo Ren V2 but the hood is a little bit weird to me.....IDK....wut do u guys think ?

As silly it may sound, Kylo Ren did a little exercise drills for his crew and he supervised that everything went as planned. He was.. eh, is the boss, after all. You simply cannot step on his toes, and if you did, you got yourself a little punishment. This is Kylo, a commander full of emotion. He claims to be strong but things he do are quite the opposite.

Uh, seriously. As silly it sounds, this is all true. Some started to worship him even more, but eventually they saw, he was no good and people on started basically to avoid him on the Starkiller Base. There were actually hundreds of people on these exercise drills at first, but let me just count... there's only three weakest left in the end. This thing has no future!

Oh, and what about that little punishment I told you about... you simply cannot enter to his table on the Starkiller Cafeteria to sip hot beverages and gossip about future attacks!
