Caltha palustris L. is a plant belonging to the buttercup family. It is widespread throughout the Northern Hemisphere. In Poland, it grows in wet meadows, stream banks, in ditches and riparian forests. It blooms from March to June.

Knieć błotna, kaczeniec, (Caltha palustris L.) to roślina należąca do rodziny jaskrowatych. Jest szeroko rozprzestrzeniona na całej półkuli północnej. W Polsce rośnie na wilgotnych łąkach, brzegach strumieni, w rowach i lasach łęgowych. Kwitnie od marca do czerwca.
