During their pep talks and stories, Kiko's mom, Kitsune, would bring in little snacks for the two to share. She also loved Kiko beyond measure, and it broke her heart to see him suffer at such a young age.
Kitsune and Kumiho went straight over to the Pink Elephant Cafe for their coffees. Kumiho ordered a straight black coffee, and though that was Kitsune's favorite as well, she mysteriously ordered a blended chocolate milkshake. They sat smiling at each other for a bit, before Kumiho couldn't stand it any longer.

It was at that moment, Kumiho waled back into his new room. He took one look at Kitsune, and then his eyes rolled over to Peeps. He could tell right away that the moment was ruined, and he slipped his surprise into his pocket quickly before Peeps caught sight of it.
Kitsune and Kumiho have been married now for several months. It is everything they have dreamed- cooking together, sharing a home, and fulfilling life long dreams. There has never been a happier couple ever to exist, and it will never change.
Kumiho is another word for Kitsune, the servants of the rice god...
Kumiho Stir-Fry with Black Rice (serves eight)
3 cups black rice (soaked overnight)
1 block/pound medium tofu
1/3 cup plus 2 tablespoons Japanese soy sauce (Kikkoman)
1/3 cup water
food coloring
4 tablespoons peanut oil (divided)
1 cup green onions, finely sliced
1 small red bell pepper, thin slivers
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon minced ginger
1 teaspoon chili powder
16 oz sliced white mushrooms
6 oz fresh shiitake mushrooms (thin sliced, stems removed)
2 teaspoons wasabi powder (or more, to taste)
1 teaspoon salt (divided)
1 teaspoon sugar (or Splenda)
2 teaspoons black pepper (divided) (or more, to taste)
about three cups red cabbage (roughly half of a small head)
edible flowers or other brightly colored garnish (optional)
1) Soak black rice overnight, or otherwise prepare to your preference.
2) Preparing tofu: dice tofu into small bite-sized pieces. Put tofu in a large zip-lock bag or a bowl, add 1/3 cup soy sauce, water, and food coloring (30 or so drops of blue gives a rich color, but feel free to play with colors). Marinate or dye for about two hours, turning occasionally to evenly soak.
3) While tofu is soaking, slice onion, ginger, bell pepper. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, sweetener, and chili pepper. Set aside. Slice mushrooms, mixing wasabi powder into mushrooms. Set aside.
4) Rinse and steam black rice. It can take 30-40 minutes for rice to become tender.
5) Tofu, continued: In a hot wok or large skillet over medium-high flame, fry tofu with two tablespoons peanut oil until it begins to brown, turning frequently. You may want to use more food coloring to "touch up" your paint job if the tofu crumbles. Don’t worry if the colors aren't even. Put tofu aside in a large bowl.
6) Add two more tablespoons peanut oil. Add bowl of onion, pepper and spices. Cook about a minute, then add mushrooms.
7) cook 7-8 minutes until liquid begins to boil off. Add red cabbage and remainder of soy sauce and spices. Cook another minute, then add tofu, stirring carefully until mixed and warm (stirring too energetically can make tofu crumble). Turn off heat.
8) Serve over a scoop of black rice. Garnish with flowers. Looks best on a deep blue or black plate.
Kumiho and Kitsune have been so happy lately because they finally feel like their family is complete. They have their little girl, Koneko, who is a full blooded Animagis fox just like her parents, and their brand new baby son, Kiko.
And Shire looked stunned momentarily before gingerly picking up a little tiny fox kit from the bed. She said a little spell, and the little one became as clean and white as snow. it cooed and snuggled close to her. Not a tear came from its cute little button eyes.
Wander plopped the ever talking Fleecy down in front of Aishling.
At first, Fleecy remained quiet for the first time in several hours, but then...Fleecy spoke.
"NEW BEST FRIEND! Please, love Fleecy! Fleecy loves you!! Loves you forever!!"
Aishling's eyes seemed to glaze over. She sat, frozen, for a few seconds before suddenly standing up.

Sorry for the photo quality, I took this picture late last night right before I went to bed.
Also, from now on I'm going to be uploading low-resolution versions of my artwork in anticipation of launching my online portfolio, and because a good friend of mine had an unfortunate incident with people plagiarizing his work by copying source code from his photostream. Cautionary tales, etc.
Kumiho let her cry until she had finally regained her breathe and seemed to be able to fully open her eyes. He touched her face gently and she looked at him with her eyes still glistening with tears.
Kumiho sensed her questioning his odd behavior. It was now or never, he thought, and he never wanted to make her feel doubt or any worry about his feelings for her. He bent down to his bag, and began to fiddle with the clasps.
Shortly after Kitsune had finished her sundae, the sound of running footsteps could be plainly heard coming up the stairs.
"Mommy!!", shouted a familiar voice, and Kitsune turned to see her little daughter, Koneko, running towards her, arms outstretched. "Daddy told me you guys had some news for me!", Koneko shouted before jumping into her moms arms. Kumiho followed her slowly and smiled at the sight of Kitsune being swallowed up in a giant hug from Koneko.
"Awe Kitsune! You're doing so well this time around!", Shire dotes on Kitsune. "You are as healthy as can be! You must know what you're doing this time around...".
Kitsune smiles and nods approvingly. Kumiho has been making sure that she has been resting a lot and taking her vitamins.
Suddenly Kumiho dashed back into the room and put a giant ice cream sundae in front of Kitsune.
"Eat this, sweetheart! I made it just for you!", he said with a giant smile.
Today, Kumiho has made a special request from Riddle and Rhyme. He has asked them to sneak into the school and set up a special surprise for Kitsune.
"PLEASE FRIEND! BE MY ONLY FRIEND FOREVER!!!", Fleecy wailed.
Aishling walked closer to Fleecy and a wide grin spread onto her face. Wander stood with bated breathe by the wall, unmoving.
Just yesterday, she sneezed great big, and when she did, her little fox ears disappeared and so did her tail. That is a sure sign that any time now, she will begin to realize that she can transform between a fox kit and a human baby. She is an Animagis after all.
And he embraced her at long last. There would be plenty of time for their stories from being apart at a later date. Right now, all they needed was to be close to each other- all hugs and kisses.
Kitsune threw he hands up over her mouth, and suddenly weakness consumed her legs and blackness clouded her vision...
Kitsune chuckled to herself. She had known what his reaction would be.They stood happily celebrating and jumping up and down for a very long time...

Kumiho slowly made his way to Kitsune's house. He had heard that the place in which she lived was a refuge for lost magic beings, and he felt reassured that she had been well taken care of in his long absence. He slowly walked up the steps of her home, and stood for awhile pondering what to say to her when he finally met her.
Kumiho stood frozen for a moment before breaking out in a little smile. Of course he secretly didn't want to wait that long, but he was TRYING to be responsible. Kitsune stood swaying on the spot and Kumiho let out a little giggle and hugged her to him.
"I guess our family is extending already", he said with a grin.
the two boys here are both LTF Elf El from Fairyland. Kumiho has a custom face-up (face detailing) red glitter eyes, and Souji has the default faceup, brown /hazel eyes with the full set outfit.
These dolls are incredibly customizable.
Kitsune slowly turned around. Her eyes followed the wall until they met the corner. There stood a young looking boy, red hair, bright green eyes, fox ears and tail. He hadn't changed at all, though he had endured years of unrelenting pain and suffering. He was as cute and kind looking as the first day she had set eyes on him so long ago.
She read the front slowly, as she wanted to make sure that she was giving it to the right person. No need to get their hopes up without need.
That is when she noticed her own name written on the front, and she instantly recognized the writing. But how could it be...no. This had to be a joke.
She sniffed the air excitedly (for she is mostly fox) and noticed a faint smell of a fox not too far off in the distance. She sighed to herself, suddenly feeling a little sad, and shrugged it off to be just another wild fox passing by in the area.
Kumiho helps Kitsune get herself ready to go and then puts his hands on her tummy. "I have something for you little one", he said with a small smile. "You and me and mommy, too."
After SHire had left, Kumiho sat Kitsune down on the floor and put a little table in front of her.
"You wait here, Kitsune! I have a special surprise for you", he said before dashing off.
Kitsune laughed and rubbed her belly. Kumiho was such a funny little guy.
Kitsune's due date to have her little baby girl has come and gone. She is getting so big, and is really ready for the little one to appear into this world. She feels rather relaxed today, though, and is expecting Kumiho to come find her at any time.
"Kitsune! Kitsune!," Kumiho yells as he pounces into their room. "I have a very wonderful surprise to show you and the baby!"
She smiled sweetly and clasped her little fox necklace. She couldn't be happier. Kumiho rocked back and forth on the balls of his feet. She could tell that he was so proud and excited by the surprise he had prepared.
And she lunged forward and hugged him with all of her might. She immediately turned and ran for the entrance. She couldn't wait to see what he had done!
Though Kiko was born without any magical properties, as far as his parents can tell, he has yet to be fully accepted by his sister due to his lack of a fox appearance. Koneko just cannot understand why her brother does not look like her.
Kumiho and Kitsune have been trying to decide what to tell Koneko, but it has been tough. Never in their history as an Animagis (and also as far as the stories of Animagii go) has there ever been a baby born to two full blooded Animagii that has had no trace of the animal of which its parents can transform.
Kitsune felt something warm pick her up, and she slowly opened her eyes. There, staring back at her were those unforgettably green eyes.
Kumiho loved his son so much, and really thought so highly of him. In Kumiho's eyes and heart, Kiko was the most wonderful Being that ever lived, and he wanted his son to feel appreciated.
