I don't usually post colour photos. This is one of the only photos I kept from my first time in Korea. I kept it because I remember the moment well. I usually keep photos that are like that. My friend pointed out to me that she was looking at us. We were waiting for our bus to leave a rest stop on the way from Iksan to Seoul. I remember thinking it was funny that even when I took the photo she kept looking with the same stare. Not fazed in the least. People usually turn, not this time. Always interesting the stories of people on buses. Always going somewhere. Away from something and to something. Kinda like us I suppose. Like to imagine their story is more interesting than my own. Maybe they think the same thing.

My friends from Ewha Womas University 이화 여자 대학교 went to a farm to make some authentic Korean rice cake, 덕 Duk.
they overcook some rice and mix in some other green spinach seaweed looking stuff. You pound the rice until it becomes the consistency of bread dough. add some dried bean powder on top any you have a Korean dessert.
It is kinda like Japanese Mochi only with out the sugar. Mmmm leave it to the Koreans to take the sugar (fun) out if dessert.
