St. Gereon's Basilicais a Roman Catholic church in Cologne, Germany, dedicated to Saint Gereon, and designated a minor basilica on 25 June 1920. The first mention of a church at the site, dedicated to St. Gereon, appears in 612. This Roman building is still largely intact (although mostly invisible under later additions) and now forms the decagonal oval part of the church. The dome above the Roman part of the church is the largest built in Europe between the erection of the Hagia Sophia in the 6th century and the construction of the Duomo of Florence in the 15th century CE.
The City Hall (German: Kölner Rathaus) is a historical building in Cologne, western Germany. It is located off Hohe Straße in the district of Innenstadt, and set between the two squares of Rathausplatz and Alter Markt. Today's building complex consists of several structures, added successively in varying architectural styles: they include the 14th century historic town hall, the 15th century Gothic style tower, the 16th century Renaissance style loggia and cloister (the Löwenhof), and the 20th century Modern Movement atrium (the Piazzetta). The so-called Spanischer Bau is an extension on Rathausplatz but not directly connected with the main building.

Die Hohenzollernbrücke (Eisenbahnbrücke) führt geradewegs auf den Ostchor des Kölner Doms zu. Im letzten Moment schwenken die Gleise nach rechts ab in den Hauptbahnhof.
Die neue Hohenzollernbrücke (1911 durch Kaiser Wilhelm II. eingeweiht) ist die Nachfolgerin der Dombrücke von 1859.
Die direkte Ausrichtung bereits der alten Dombrücke auf die Mittelachse des Doms soll ein Wunsch des preußischen Königs Friedrich Wilhelm IV. gewesen sein, der auch die Vollendung des Doms sehr gefördert hatte.
Der über 100 Meter hohe gläserne Turm des KölnTriangel wurde 2005 von Gatermann + Schossig Architekten, Köln, errichtet und ist 103 m hoch.

St. Kolumba war eine der größten Pfarrkirchen Kölns. Ihr Ursprung geht zurück auf das Jahr 980. Die zunächst romanische Kirche musste im späten Mittelalter einem gotischen Neubau weichen. Im Zweiten Weltkrieg wurde die Kirche fast vollständig zerstört. Ab 1947 wurde in den Ruinen die Marienkapelle „Madonna in den Trümmern“ errichtet. Seit 2007 ist die Kapelle in den Neubau des Erzbischöflichen Diözesanmuseums integriert.
