Palais im Park
der Rat der Stadt Köln genemigte die Generalsanierung und ließ das Gebäude von 2011 bis 2014 nach historischem Vorbild umbauen und erweitern. Im Zuge dieser Sanierung erhielt die Flora wieder ein gekreuztes Tonnendach, das allerdings nicht mehr als Glaskuppel, sondern als geschlossenes Metalldach errichtet wurde.

Juli 1985: Der "Personenzug nach Köln" der Köln Bonner Eisenbahn (KBE) macht einen kurzen Halt in Hürth-Hermülheim bevor es über Efferen weiter ins Kölner Stadtgebiet geht. Bis 1980 hatte ich oft das Vergnügen, in diesen rustikalen Triebwagen bis zum Kölner Barbarossaplatz mitzufahren - ab der Kölner Stadtgrenze auf den KVB Straßenbahngleisen.
Koeln Bonner Eisenbahn (KBE) EMU making a brief stop at Huerth-Hermuelheim before continueing to its final destination Colone Barbarossaplatz. I really enjoyed riding those massive vehicles, especially on the final section when they were using the Cologne tram network.
Seit 1986 ist der Heliosturm ein offizielles Industrie-Denkmal und gilt heute neben dem Kölner Dom und dem Fernsehturm Colonius als beliebtes Wahrzeichen in Köln.
The Helios Tower has been an official industrial monument since 1986 and is now considered a popular landmark in Cologne alongside the Cologne Cathedral and the Colonius television tower.
went for a walk today and somehow the clouds made me play around trying to capture the scene...
