Before knowing the weather condition of the Himalayan region we should understand its geography. The Himalayan region covers an area of 2,250 km with an average width of 200 km. The forest belt of the Himalayan region consists of Oak, Rhododendron, Birch, Pine, Deodar, and Fir. And the monsoon season in this region lasts for mid June till the end of September. The Himalayas influences the meteorological conditions in the Indian subcontinent to the south and in the Central Asian highlands to the north to a great extent. It acts a climatic divider circulating the air and water system to a great extent. Because of its altitude and location it blocks the passage of the cold winds coming from the north to the Indian sub continent thereby making India's climate much more moderate. It also influences the rainfall pattern in India. The combined effect of rainfall, latitude and altitude largely influences the forests belts in the Himalayan region. The rainfall is mostly recorded during the monsoon time of June to September but it decreases as you travel from east to west. The snow-capped ranges of the Himalayas stretch 2, 250 km from the Namcha Barwa to Nanga Parbat on the Indus. The range extends from east to west up to central-Nepal and then takes a southeast to northwest direction.

Introduction
One day,
you will feel that the Creator
is no longer a riddle,
that the Creator has never been hidden from you,
that the Creator
has never concealed His face from you,
that the Creator is not at all far from you,
that the Creator is no longer the One that you constantly long for in your thoughts but that you cannot reach with your feelings,
that He is really and truly standing guard to your left and right,
supplying your life, and controlling your destiny, controlling your destiny.
He is not on the remote horizon, nor has He secreted Himself high up in the clouds.
He is right by your side, presiding over your all,
He is everything that you have, and He is the only thing you have.
Such a God
allows you to love Him from the heart,
cling to Him, hold Him close, admire Him,
fear to lose Him,
and be unwilling to renounce Him any longer, disobey Him any longer,
or any longer to evade Him or put Him at a distance.
All you want is to care for Him, obey Him,
requite all that He gives you, and surrender to His dominion.
You no longer refuse to be guided,
supplied, watched over, and kept by Him,
no longer refuse what He dictates and ordains for you,
what He dictates and ordains for you.
All you want is to follow Him, walk alongside Him to His left or right, to follow Him, walk alongside Him to His left or right,
all you want is to accept Him as your one and only Lord,
all you want is to accept Him as your one and only Lord, your one and only God.
You no longer
You no longer
You no longer
You no longer
refuse to be guided, supplied, watched over, and kept by Him,
no longer refuse
no longer refuse
no longer refuse
no longer refuse
what He dictates and ordains for you, what He dictates and ordains for you.
All you want is to follow Him, walk alongside Him to His left or right, to follow Him, walk alongside Him to His left or right,
all you want is to accept Him as your one and only Lord,
all you want is to accept Him as your one and only Lord, your one and only God.
All you want is to follow Him, walk alongside Him to His left or right, to follow Him, walk alongside Him to His left or right,
all you want is to accept Him as your one and only Lord, as your one and only Lord, your one and only God,
your one and only God.

WINTER❄️
It tasted like more to go up at Le Prorel, Briançon with our ski pass without skiing to see the amazing views. Without knowing what I photographed I was surprised that this was a part of the Maginot Line so high up in the mountains🌞
I replaced the upload from a few minutes before with a panorama. After I looked back what I uploaded in 2013, I found out that this was a possible panorama of 2 photos. So I made it at once and now you can see the whole area with the wonderful mountains behind it, where it was snowing at that moment❄️
Knowing 60055 and 56091 would be working 6Z26 back through the Hope Valley on a fine afternoon it would have been rude not to make the 15 minute drive to Hope to get an approaching and trailing shot of the two DC locos. At this point 56091 was ticking over.

If It Is Not Too Dark
Go for a walk, if it is not too dark.
Get some fresh air, try to smile.
Say something kind
To a safe-looking stranger, if one happens by.
Always exercise your heart's knowing.
You might as well attempt something real
Along this path:
Take your spouse or lover into your arms
The way you did when you first met.
Let tenderness pour from your eyes
The way the Sun gazes warmly on the earth.
Play a game with some children.
Extend yourself to a friend.
Sing a few ribald songs to your pets and plants -
Why not let them get drunk and wild!
Let's toast
Every rung we've climbed on Evolution's ladder.
Whisper, "I love you! I love you!"
To the whole mad world.
Let's stop reading about God -
We will never understand Him.
Jump to your feet, wave your fists,
Threaten and warn the whole Universe
That your heart can no longer live
Without real love!
~ Hafiz ~
Knowing the weather might not be good today, and it is cloudy, I went out yesterday evening to get what is almost the "super moon".
Knowing we were in for a hot one but the day off out all planned we were up and on our way by 5am, mountain climbed and cold cold drinks by lunchtime!

One lovely Summer Sunday, knowing that the former Soo Line's streetrunning through here would soon end with the acquisition of the former C&NW trackage, I drove down to see what I could do to document what would soon disappear.
Being a Sunday, I figured there wouldn't be as many vehicles. Here is Wisconsin Central eastbound freight T008 (Stevens Point to Shops Yard in NORTH Fond du Lac), with 90 cars behind SD45, GP30, GP40 (6522....), approaching me on Division Street. Their crew is looking at the distant signal for the Oshkosh drawbridge - which better be green! We usually called the drawbridge operator before we left the south end of "Winnebago" siding just north of town, to ensure that all was clear. Stopping in Oshkosh was not how you had a good trip.

Excerpt from the plaque:
Before Knowing by Erin Perry
‘Before Knowing’ is a sculpture about the desire and fear of being known by another. Two tentative and curious creatures, vastly different, discover a friend.
These objects serve as a reminder of what was, what is and what could be. ‘Before Knowing’ explores emotions and feelings (which come and go). While being made of robust materials, they speak of impermanence.
You're not allowed to peek inside a person on the street. We all put our armor on before we step out into the world, especially alone. My camera is the tool I use to pry the door open a bit.
Knowing how to navigate in the fog is a critical skill. The thing you have to know is: fog always eventually lifts. It's all about how you manage those dense spots. Keep those navigation lights shining brightly.

I know you’re there. And that knowing takes my heart into your world. An infinity of water. The sacred substance of life. I try to imagine what it’s like, gliding smoothly beneath the surface, seeing creatures and landscapes that are like dreams made real. Above, the seagulls ride the wind and briefly the clouds permit a dappling of sunlight. Below, you travel through a blue forest of liquid light beams.
Right now, around 20,000 of you are traveling from Alaska all the way down to Mexico, right along my coast. I know you’re there. I’ve looked and I’ve waited - in vain. I have yet to take a single picture of you. But I’ve seen you on several occasions over the years, feeding close to shore, a glistening black mountain between the waves, spraying a fountain of mist! What a thrill! I remember each instance vividly. Even though we’ve never had a direct encounter, I felt touched by you, I felt I knew something about you, that you are gentle. And I felt you know secrets about the true nature of love.
Your mouth may be one of the biggest on the planet, but it’s not you who depletes the ocean. It is us. Driven by an appetite unhinged from nature, we eat off the plates of those yet to be born. Not only our own generations, but yours and everybody’s. I never want to look out over this ocean and know you’re not there anymore. Thankfully, we stopped just short of killing you all and you have made a promising recovery. We can choose to move away from the cancerous idea of perpetual growth and towards a new appreciation of balance. Like the dancer who can hold her center, the pursuit of balance results in much grace and beauty.
Be always there, gliding smoothly.
Claudia

Not knowing where I'll end up for the night is part of the fun when overlanding for months at a time. Here, I was on a vast stretch of public land following this dirt trail that eventually lead up a mountainside that afforded a view of an oncoming rain storm. Shortly after arriving there, it began to pelt rain, the winds picked up, and the temperature dropped... and I sought shelter on the leeward side of the peak. I was traveling alone and no one was around for miles. But, then again, I wasn't really alone. There were enormous swarms of hungry and aggressive mosquitos to keep me company. I was unable to get back into the truck without a dozen of them joining me. (Did I mention how much fun overlanding can be?). :^)

Knowing that 50007s arrival at Exeter would be covered from every angle I set myself a challenge of trying to get a fresh angle. I had two spots in mind , one I used extensively during my video days and one I had used a couple of times with my Nikon FM2 when access wasn't a problem.
The first spot was too much of a challenge even for Viola May 2 but the 2nd spot seemed to be on.
So here is 50007/034 at Riverside Yards just about to take the ECS for the 1537 ESD -VIC caught in a patch of rare sunlight on this day.
