On the 22, 23 and 24 of March was the last edition of the movie festival curious travelers. During that event Open Sources highjack the design and run with the team of the festival "Curieux Voyageurs" in order to produce the energy required for the documentaries projections.
The festival team entrust Open Sources to make a prospective study which aim at building two bikes with waste collected locally. OS has to fit perfectly with the first design study and drawings made by BP Design. A new drawing was done in order to reshape the structure, the materials used and the knowhow involved in the production. Five prototypes of bikes were produced. Two of them were made with reuse materials in our workshop (old beds for the seat, market crates and supermarket hardboard, old benches of church for the armature) and three others in plastic done by some subcontractors selected by BP Design. Each prototype can produce about 100W. Only three bikes were enough to supply the video projector for a 54 minutes long documentary.

Description de l’œuvre (au Petit Palais)
Un tablier de potier, symbole de son activité concrète et artisanale ;
Un plat décoré de serpent et de poissons, emblématique de son style inventif inspiré par la nature ;
C’est un outil de conception pour la fonte définitive ;
Il devient ensuite un objet d’étude pour le public, permettant de comprendre l’acte créatif du sculpteur ;
Conclusion
Le réalisme et la précision technique du sculpteur ;
Une figuration narrative du savoir et du travail artisanal ;

The Tormach 4-axis CNC is a powerful, affordable, low maintenance CNC machine. It can cut some fairly high precision parts at high speed with little error. It takes a decent bit of programming and some solid machining knowhow to get perfect results but it's well worth it.
TechShop brought me on to teach their CNC classes a few months ago and I jumped at the opportunity. As part of my duties I used the machine as much as possible, figuring out bugs, making projects to show off, gathering material for class, and generally showing people how the whole process is done. I made these as a testament to what can be done with some CNC operations and a little hand work.
I machined the eyepieces out of a set of Ferris machinist wax blocks which were then cast in bronze. Each eyepiece has a flat cap made with the same method. The lenses are laser cut 2way mirror plexiglass from Tap Plastics. The nose bridge was milled from a bar of solid brass using the 4th axis attachment.

Damals musste man nehmen was man kriegen konnte.
Also bleibt sie in diesem Format.
This is what i missed out on. For about a year and a half, I owned ex Yorkshire Traction Leyland National mk2 245 NKU245X. But with a lack technical knowhow, and lots of debts, i had to sell it. Now restoration is complete, it looks splendid in Tracky Red with MetroBus branding. This was a very young, but a terrific white wine.

Which country has the most to gain with this sabotage? Which country has the capability and knowhow? Which country will most likely replace the natural gas sales to the poor European countries?
☝️Retired U.S. Col. Richard Black asks: Did the U.S./NATO blow up the Nord Stream Pipelines?

Russia says Nord Stream pipeline leaks were in US zone
Russia's President Putin has called the leaks in the Nord Stream gas pipelines 'an act of international terrorism'. On Thursday, Sweden confirmed a fourth rupture in the undersea pipelines which carry Russian natural gas to the EU.
NATO says the incidents were an act of deliberate sabotage. The Kremlin denies responsibility.
www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/russia-says-nord-stream-leak...
Russia says Nord Stream leaks occurred in zone controlled by U.S. intelligence
(Reuters) - Russia's foreign ministry on Thursday said ruptures to the Nord Stream pipelines that have caused gas leaks off the coasts of Denmark and Sweden occurred in territory that is "fully under the control" of U.S. intelligence agencies.
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told a pro-Kremlin broadcast that Washington had "full control" over the waters around Denmark and Sweden where four leaks have been detected on the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines, which cross the floor of the Baltic Sea between Russia and Germany.
"It happened in the trade and economic zones of Denmark and Sweden. There are NATO-centric countries," Zakharova said an interview with the Soloviev Live online broadcast on Thursday.
"They are countries that are completed controlled by the U.S. intelligence services."
Denmark is a member of the NATO military alliance, while Sweden's membership is pending after it abandoned its historic policy of non-alignment following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Zakharova did not provide evidence of U.S. control over Sweden and Denmark. Russia frequently rails against American influence and military support for Europe.
The European Union suspects sabotage was behind the gas leaks on the subsea Russian pipelines to Europe and has promised a "robust" response to any intentional disruption of its energy infrastructure.
While neither pipeline was in use at the time of the suspected blasts, they were filled with gas that has been spewing out in the Baltic Sea since ruptures were first detected on Monday.

US suggests Russia could be behind Nord Stream gas leaks
The US has said it "seems" Russia is to blame for this week's leaks in the Nord Stream gas pipelines.
US Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm told the BBC an investigation was being carried out into the cause of what she called "an act of sabotage", adding "it is highly unlikely that these incidents are coincidence"
No evidence about how the leaks happened has been made public.
Russia has dismissed suggestions that it was to blame.
It said claims it had damaged the pipelines were "stupid and absurd".
President Putin described the damage as "unprecedented sabotage, in fact, an act of international terrorism" during a phone call with Turkey's President Erdogan, according to the Kremlin, which added Russia plans to bring it up for "urgent discussion" at the UN Security Council.
Earlier Russia's Foreign Ministry suggest it was the US that stood to benefit from the pipeline being out of action because it would be able to increase its own natural gas sales.
The White House has dismissed such suggestions.

Biden calls Nord Stream pipeline leaks a ‘deliberate act of sabotage’
(CNN) President Joe Biden on Friday called the leaks in the Nord Stream pipelines a “deliberate act of sabotage” and accused Russia and President Vladimir Putin of “pumping out disinformation and lies,” though he did not directly accuse Moscow for the leaks.
Biden’s strong words mark the first time he’s directly asserted that the leaks were a result of sabotage, pushing back on Russia’s narrative about the incident amid Moscow’s escalating efforts to assert its claim over Ukrainian territory.
On Monday, leaks were discovered in the pipelines, prompting investigations by European authorities that determined powerful underwater explosions had occurred just before the pipelines burst in several places.
Biden said that the United States is working with allies to “get to the bottom of exactly – precisely what happened” with the leaks and that he has already directed resources to help allies enhance protection of the pipelines, which funnel gas from Russia into the European Union.
“Let me say this, it was a deliberate act of sabotage and now the Russians are pumping out disinformation and lies,” Biden said.
Putin announces annexation of Ukrainian regions, pledging people there will be Russian 'forever'
At “the appropriate moment when things calm down, we’re gonna send the divers down to find out exactly what happened,” he added. “We don’t know that yet.”
Western nations have said leaks in Nord Stream 1 and 2, two Russian gas pipelines, are likely the result of sabotage. But up to this point, US officials had been largely circumspect compared to their European counterparts in drawing conclusions about the leaks.
Putin on Friday claimed “Anglo-Saxons” were to blame for the explosions, claiming: “Well, for the Anglo-Saxons sanctions are no longer enough, they switched to sabotage. Unbelievable, but it is a fact.”
Biden, however, insisted that what Putin is saying about the leaks is “not true.” And national security adviser Jake Sullivan said Friday that the US does not believe any NATO ally is behind the leaks.
The pipelines were controversial long before Russia waged war on Ukraine, largely because of fears around European reliance on Russian energy.
If Russia did deliberately cause the explosions, it would be effectively sabotaging its own pipelines: Russian state company Gazprom is the majority shareholder in Nord Stream 1 and the sole owner of Nord Stream 2.
But officials familiar with the latest intelligence say that Moscow would likely view such a step as worth the price if it helped raise the costs of supporting Ukraine for Europe. US and western intelligence officials believe Putin is gambling that as electricity costs rise and winter approaches, European publics could turn against the Western strategy of isolating Russia economically. Sabotaging the pipelines could “show what Russia is capable of,” one US official previously told CNN.
Allegations about the leaks come amid what the West has cast as Moscow’s most serious escalation in the war in Ukraine since Russia’s invasion began in February.
Last week, Putin announced partial mobilization in Russia, calling up 300,000 reservists. And earlier Friday, Putin delivered a formal speech announcing that Russia is to annex nearly a fifth of Ukraine following so-called referendums, which have universally been dismissed as shams by Ukraine and Western countries.
Biden on Friday responded to Putin’s earlier remarks about annexation, saying, “America is fully prepared with our NATO allies to defend every single inch of NATO territory. Every single inch. So, Mr. Putin, don’t misunderstand what I’m saying. Every inch.”
Biden asserted that Western allies “are not going to be intimidated by Putin and his reckless words and threats. He’s not going to scare us or intimidate us. Putin’s actions are a sign he’s struggling.”
“The sham referenda he carried out and … the sham routine that he put on this morning … well, the United States is never going to recognize this and quite frankly, the world’s not going to recognize it, either. He can’t seize his neighbor’s territory and get away with it. It’s as simple as that,” he continued.
Earlier Friday, the US announced new sanctions in response to Putin’s annexation announcement. The measures include a combination of export controls, visa restrictions and asset freezes, as part of an effort to further clamp down on Russian supply chains – and the individuals directing the efforts – critical to maintaining the war effort.
The United States, Biden said during his remarks, “is going to continue to stay the course” with Ukraine.
“We’re going to continue to provide military equipment so that Ukraine can defend itself and its territory and its freedom, including additional resources that the Congress is going to give me today of $13 billion more dollars to help Ukrainians defend themselves and fight back,” he continued.
BMW's motocycle knowhow was utilized to create this three wheeler. BMW has since moved up to mfg and sell full sized autos around the world. As gas prices continue to rise in the USA, let's hope they haven't lost the design because we'll need such good looking, fuel efficient vehicles in the not to distant future.

Ambassador Raja A. Edirisuriya, presented his letters of credence on the 12th of November 2014, as the non-resident Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the President of Suriname, His Excellency Desire Delano Bouterse.
Following the presentation of the credentials, President Bouterse met with Ambassador Edirisuriya, during which Foreign Minister Hon. Winston G. Lackin and the Ambassador of Suriname to Sri Lanka based in New Delhi, H.E. Ms. Aashna Kanhai were present. President Bouterse expressed interest in seeking Sri Lanka’s expertise and knowhow in coconut cultivation, to help develop coconut plantations in Suriname. Ambassador Edirisuriya agreed to convey the request to the relevant authorities in Colombo to facilitate the sharing of technical knowledge in the coconut industry between Sri Lanka and Suriname. These plans will enhance commerce and trade relations between the two countries.
Suriname is the current Chair of the UNASUR (Union of South American States), and Ambassador Edirisuriya used the opportunity to brief the Suriname President on the post-war human rights situation in Sri Lanka. He described the progress achieved in resettlement, the rehabilitation of ex-combatants, and the reconstruction of war-devastated regions.
At a separate meeting with Foreign Minister Lackin, Ambassador Edirisuriya spoke of the positive achievements in Sri Lanka since the end of the conflict. He also brought to the attention of the Foreign Minister that a section of the international community disregarded Sri Lanka’s progress due to false allegations that have no basis. The allegations are merely propaganda of pro-LTTE extremists. The LTTE extremist elements have become strong voting blocs in many Western countries. The Ambassador extended an invitation to the Foreign Minister to visit Sri Lanka. The meeting was attended by H.E. Marlon Faisal Mohamed Hoesein, Ambassador of Suriname to Brazil, H.E. Aashna Kanhai, Ambassador of Suriname to Sri Lanka and the Deputy Head of Mission of Sri Lanka to Brazil, Major General Kamal Gunaratne.

This is what i missed out on. For about a year and a half, I owned ex Yorkshire Traction Leyland National mk2 245 (NKU245X). But with a lack technical knowhow, and lots of debts, i had to sell it. Now restoration is complete, it looks splendid in Tracky Red with MetroBus branding. It is seen at Ingrow West Station about to run a special service to Haworth for the Keighley & Worth Valley Diesel Gala 2009
Jubilant Quackenbush: Marx I've always had a bit of a crush on you but I'm just enamored with your new shape!
Marx Dudek: Oh, thank you!
Marx Dudek: I am too. :D
Respite Rau smiles
Phant Nabob: Isn't 2012 Marx just too edible?
Marx Dudek: It took me four years to get it right!
Wol Euler: yeah :)
djoti: I've found there's a window of a day or two in which I can either finish or both a new shape
Respite Rau: after that it congeals?
djoti: if I don't get it right in that day, that's that
Marx Dudek: Yep!
Respite Rau: interesting
djoti: both --> botch
Marx Dudek: I've been working on a few others, possibly for sale.
Respite Rau: I retweak my shapes every six months or so
Jubilant Quackenbush: I made my shape in a few months originally, but played with the nose for years and years
Respite Rau: they change as I do
Phant Nabob: I tend to stick with a shape if I get it right
djoti: noses are really tough in SL sometimes
Phant Nabob is bad at shapes
Respite Rau: Jubi does have a nose obsession :)
djoti: it's the part of the mesh with the worst resolution
Phant Nabob: Well thats good because her nose is adorable
Respite Rau: my shapes change in all worlds in counterpoint
Phant Nabob smooches Jubis nose
Respite Rau: aww
Jubilant Quackenbush: Awww ty Phant
Marx Dudek: I love my nose . :)
Jubilant Quackenbush: I love your nose too Marx
Jubilant Quackenbush: It's cute as a button
Marx Dudek: Jubi's is adorable, though!
Jubilant Quackenbush: <3
djoti: this edition of Esme/Sindri/djoti is the first one where I'm happy with the eyes and nose
Respite Rau: Jubi's is
Marx Dudek: Jubi's IS the cuteness button!
Respite Rau: I like your eye size, djoti
Jubilant Quackenbush: *blush*
djoti: eyes are always the hardest to get right for me
Respite Rau: interesting
Respite Rau: I get eyes done very fast :p
djoti: my mouth is still bigger than I like but any time I shrink it it looks pinched, so I had to let go
Marx Dudek: Eyes are critical.
Respite Rau: and all my human av shapes share the same eye characteristics
djoti: yup marx
djoti: but on balance, I'm happier with this shape than any I've made
Respite Rau: the default 50% head shape is also quite small
djoti: just wish this mesh didn't saw itself nearly in half in certain poses
Marx Dudek: So many people get everything right, but the eyes wrong, and it ruins it.
Respite Rau: yeah, djoti
Respite Rau: I wish the corners of noses weren't prone to polygon madness
djoti: yep
Wol Euler: yeaj
Marx Dudek: God, I know.
djoti: we'd have to add a lot of polygons to get them better
Wol Euler: I just gave up on my nose
Respite Rau: aww
Marx Dudek: It's one of the reasons why I won't give up my facelight.
djoti: your nose is fine, wol
Respite Rau: your nose is nice, Wol
Jubilant Quackenbush: Actually I made a version of this shape with more "anime" eyes, but I think my current eyes are more natual looking
Wol Euler: it has a glitch where the nostrils meet the cheeks
djoti: you've got the good taste and knowhow to do face lighting properly, marx
Wol Euler: but couldn't get that to go away
Wol Euler: ty :)
djoti: of course you are boogie-ing so much Wol that I can't really see your nose :)
Wol Euler: hehehhe
Wol Euler: intentional :) disguise through motion
djoti: it's effective
