The Smile on Saturday group’s theme for today, 12/18, is ‘reflection in a knife’. Took a bit of finagling but I think I got it!! Now to go look at the group pool and see if someone else had a similar idea. I try not to look before I post……
….(btb, tricky to do this with older stainless utensils that might not stain or get tarnished but can sure be scratched.)

Actually more a "summer knife", this Herbertz pocket knife was a spontaneous catch during summer holiday.

My husband bought this knife in Sedona and it is so unique. He collects small knives and I think this one with the quartz blade is my favorite.

I have to say that in addition to being literally sharp, I also find this antique, beautifully crafted J.A. Henckels Friodur jack knife to be very sharp looking. It has been handed down through our family over the years and I have it displayed on a table with family photos and memorabilia.

A plaque to the little known author Gintaras Grajauskas on Literatu Street (literally Literature Street)
I was on my way to Jackfish Lake near Cochin, Sask., and stopped in the town of Cut Knife for gas. I had never been there before, so I took a little drive into the town. In addition to soe classic old grain elevators, the main street also has a good number of interesting looking old buildings. Another place that may warrant another longer visit!
