Small Nieto "Cetreria" Bowie knife (Nieto Ref. 4402) with olive wood handle, made in Spain.
The knife has a blade length of only 11.28 cm (4.44"), which makes it legal to be carried in Germany - the legal limit is 12.0 cm (4.72"). Anything with a longer blade may be owned, but not carried.

Hello my Flickr Friends !
Today is a blue day at Color my World Daily Group and the theme at Looking close on Friday is knife.
Even if I’m on “home” vacation, I could not resist doing a quick photoshoot with a flying knife and a strawberry… I hope you will like it !!

Another catch from the local discounter. Was advertised as "outdoor" knife. Again, it is reasonably sharp, but not a razor. Features a firesteel hidden in the handle (acually works).
JMHO this Crivit is a mundane copy of the idea behind the more expensive Morakniv "Companion Spark". Main differences are:
The price, the Crivit was about 1/8 of what the Morakniv would cost.
The Morakniv has openings in the handle, so the firesteel is visible, while the Crivit handle is closed.

My husband bought this knife in Sedona and it is so unique. He collects small knives and I think this one with the quartz blade is my favorite.

I have to say that in addition to being literally sharp, I also find this antique, beautifully crafted J.A. Henckels Friodur jack knife to be very sharp looking. It has been handed down through our family over the years and I have it displayed on a table with family photos and memorabilia.

As a knife and a reflection lover, I had the opportunity to let free my creativity… I took way too many knife reflection pictures but I had lots of fun. So I hope you will like my picture ! And don't run with knives my friends (that is my motherly instinct talking ...) !

A unique sculpture fashioned from 100,000 knives recovered from the country’s streets has been erected outside Coventry Cathedral.
The 27-foot high Knife Angel was designed by sculptor Alfie Bradley of the British Ironworks Centre (BIC) based in Oswestry.
It has been touring the country to raise awareness of knife crime and send a message to prevent violence in the future.
The sculpture has been positioned outside the cathedral from March where it will remain for about two months.
Each blade used in the sculpture has been inscribed with the name of a victim of knife crime to honour their memory.
In the background can be seen "St Michael's Victory over the Devil", a sculpture by Jacob Epstein.
I was on my way to Jackfish Lake near Cochin, Sask., and stopped in the town of Cut Knife for gas. I had never been there before, so I took a little drive into the town. In addition to soe classic old grain elevators, the main street also has a good number of interesting looking old buildings. Another place that may warrant another longer visit!

I sometime’s think that macro images reveal just a touch too much detail so I’ve tried to add a bit of interest to the image - post processed to the max you could say.
