Black-fronted Dotterels were our constant companions throughout our S.W. Queensland wanderings, but it took a while before the chance of seeing these red-kneed relations was in our favour.

Cypress knees really fascinate me they way they grow. They look more like stalagmites you would expect to find on the floor in a cave than roots of a tree growing on the bank of a lake.

I had my instructions tonight from Emmanuelle to get down on my knees! I haven't got the car tonight so feel a little penned in , but thanks to her advice I had some fun lower down to the ground! The only title fitting on my playlist was Knee socks , by the Arctic Monkeys!!!
