KMC Onstage: Disney's Alice in Wonderland Jr.
During the weekend of Nov. 21, children taking part in KMC Onstage’s afterschool learning program performed Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland Jr.,” during two sold-out performances.
Hundreds of community members enjoyed the evening shows, held on Friday and Saturday at the KMC Onstage theater at Kleber Kaserne.
For the young actors, it was more than just a performance opportunity. Children demonstrated what they learned about acting, singing, and dancing.
Throughout the afterschool program, youth participants learned design principles, to include: costuming, sets, props, sound and music. They also learned about the practical application of building these elements, as well as scene painting.
