A cannister set I bought in "Mops" Op shop in Marysville. This & a barometer I bought have become even more sentimental as Marysville was destroyed by devastating bushfires on Feb7, 09, 3 weeks after I purchased them.

I have a thing for retro kitchenware. I know why. These items remind me of my childhood. When I was a child I was part of a family. As a single adult, I am my family. So, my liking retro kitchenware is a way in which I can get in touch with that time in my life when I was part of a family that consisted of people other than myself.

I don't know if this is a Cleminson piece but it sure looks like it might be. I really like hand painted, vintage pottery from California.

We use knife and fork almost daily when we eat our dinner. Even though nowadays, we don’t use them when we go to a fast food restaurant, but it’s still something we needed for our daily life.

Love those cherries!

I found this oblong Pyrex dish in a charity shop, a bargain at £1.49. I love the lemon yellow colour and the sweet snowflake design. It's weighty and practical too, so I get to use it as well as appreciate its appearance!
