Remodeling Update: Here's a before and after photo of the kitchen. The photo on the left shows the kitchen before we even moved in. This was the day the home inspector was there. On the right, taken from a different angle, you can see the updated walls, painted Irish Moss Green, the oiled bronze back-splash panels, new wood window casing trim, new crown moulding, new overhead "schoolhouse type" lighting, newly covered pine bead board with sculpted crown moulding on the back of the bookshelf, new white farmhouse sink equipped with a super quiet InSinkErator garbage disposal, and finally a new oiled bronze Pfister faucet with pull down sprayer. We LOVE the new sink and faucet, especially!

This photo shows the newly remodeled under counter shelves that I installed after I build the wall out behind this counter to make space for the new dishwasher. Adding the beaded pine boarding and painting it white really lightens everything up and gives it a nice country feel.

So, the Kitchen remodel is very close to being finished. The bookshelf divider behind the sink has been completed and I built a plant/knick-knack shelf for some of Thom's stuff.

Here's a photo to show the contrast with my previously posted photo of the kitchen remodeling underway. It was quite boring and dark when we bought it.
